    The bedroom includes a comfortable queen-size bed with hotel-quality linens and plenty of storage, ensuring a restful night’s sleep.

    The bathroom has all the amenities you will need to freshen up, including fresh towels and toiletries for your convenience.

    Just west of Edinburgh’s city centre, Dalry is a vibrant, well-connected neighbourhood that blends traditional charm with urban convenience. Its streets are lined with classic Victorian tenements, and independent cafés, bakeries, and pubs create a welcoming atmosphere.

    Dalry offers a strong community feel, with local shops, international eateries, and nearby green spaces like Harrison Park and the Union Canal towpath—perfect for a jog or a leisurely stroll. Despite its central location, tree-lined streets and communal gardens give it a peaceful residential vibe.

    Excellent public transport, including buses and nearby train links, makes it easy to explore Edinburgh and beyond.

    The property is easily accessible by public transport and car.

    The nearest train station, Haymarket, is just a 6-minute walk.

    Edinburgh Airport is a 25-minute drive from the property.

    This property is a self-check-in property, and you will be requested to verify your identity before being able to check into the flat. You can check in any time of the day as long as you respect our standard check-in time (3 PM).

    Also, we charge £50 for each set of lost keys (security keys may cost more). There may be an additional cost to replace the locks for security purposes. So, please keep your keys safe.

    There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a minimum of £300 for the smoking fee.

    We do not allow parties, large gatherings, loud noises, or outside guests. Should we receive sufficient evidence of such activity, we reserve the right to cancel your stay (without a refund) and may involve a security team to evict you. Any associated cost will be charged to you via your security deposit. Local authorities may also be present (if required).

There was never any mention in the property description that it was third floor walkup, having to climb more than 60 steps. I didn't learn this until a few days before I checked in and received the check in instructions, much to late to cancel and receive a refund or to start searching around for another place. I'm 75 years old and although it was an effort to climb the more than 60 stairs to the unit, many people would not be able to. Also, the building wasn't secure as the dead bolt lock on the front door to the street did no secure the dorr and the door could be pushed open from the outside with minimal effort. The unit itself was OK.

I recently stayed at this apartment in Edinburgh and had a mixed experience. There are definitely some great aspects, but a few things did detract from the overall comfort.**Positives:*** The **location is excellent**, especially if you plan to use public transport—buses were easily accessible.* The apartment itself has a **charming old-world feel** that really suits the Edinburgh vibe.* It felt **cosy and welcoming**, a nice place to come back to after a day of exploring.* There are **lovely little shops and cafes nearby**, which added to the local experience.**Areas for Improvement:*** We **couldn’t figure out the heating system**, and there were no clear instructions provided.* One of the **three door keys was very difficult to use**—it took several tries each time to get it to work.* The **main common area door didn’t lock**, which raised some safety concerns.* The **staircase was poorly lit**, and being on the **third floor** made luggage a bit of a challenge.* Some areas in the flat **seemed neglected by the cleaning team**—could have used a more thorough touch.* There was a **sign about rats** at the main entrance to the building. While we didn’t see any rats, it did make us wonder if it was meant to deter short-term rentals.All in all, the apartment has potential and could be a great stay with a few improvements.
