Amazing, peaceful, relaxing getaway!!
What a pleasant surprise we found when we entered this property. The views were absolutely amazing! Easy access to beach, pub, grocery store, and town. Very beautiful relaxing accommodations. One of the top 3 on our 2 week tour of Ireland. Definitely will come back.

Super spot by the water and an excellent host
Booked last minute for a weekend with my family. Communication with Ciara was grat from the outset. Ciara replied to some non-house related topics also. The house was superb. Perched pretty much at the end of the harbour wall. Amazing view from every window. Balconies front and back offer shelter from whatever way the wind decides to blow. The inside was spotless, uncluttered and really nicely finished. Ciara had some really nice touches in the house for us on arrival too. Communication was great and timely all the way through to checkout. Great base for exploring Carlingford, Slieve Gullion and the Mourne's. Highly recommend. We'd stay again.

It was one of the most beautiful properties I’ve ever stayed at even outside of Ireland. I would definitely recommend this place for anybody to stay or vacation, anytime of the year!:)

Fabulous 2 night mini break at the Pilot Station
Loved this property and the location - we had a great time. Super clean, warm and everything you needed for a cosy stay. We enjoyed the views so much and the walks - a place for any kind of weather really. Ciara was a great host - warm and very helpful. Couldn’t have asked for more!

Absolutely Fabulous
Had a fantastic stay here at the Pilot Station. Beautiful property in a great location. Views were second to none. Communication with Ciara was so easy and nothing was too much trouble for her. First time staying here hopefully not the last. 10 out of 10!

Best VRBO I’ve ever stayed at!
Seriously this place is perfection. It’s so much better than the pictures. The host Ciara was responsive and so nice! The views cannot be beat and it just has this relaxing vibe that makes you feel instantly at home. Very close to Carlingford and Dundalk but feels very private and unique. Worth every penny!

Great Location
This property could get 10 stars if the ratings went that high. There are water views out of ever window. Two second floor decks. Bedrooms are on the first floor so no lugging luggage to the second floor. Will stay here again next time we are in the area.

Fabulous
Very clean, very comfortable. Great place to enjoy the Irish coastline. Be prepared for lots of swimmers and campers on warm weekends. Ciara’s fresh flowers, welcoming gifts and personal attention were greatly appreciated. You can’t go wrong with this property!

Little slice of heaven in Carlingford
I could go on for days with only good things to say about the Pilot House and Ciara as a hostess. She was incredibly responsive leading up to our delayed check in (our fault) and remained flexible, staying patient with us along the way. When we finally arrived, there was wine and a basket of treats, coffee and teas to welcome us…exactly what we needed after a long day. The location is perfect; right on the water and in a quiet neighborhood where everyone you pass on the street is pleasant and welcoming. The view of the Irish Sea is spectacular the house is set up in a way to maximize the viewing experience. The interior is incredibly clean and has all the amenities you could want. The beds were super comfortable and we had some of the best sleep on our trip during this stretch. We traveled around all of Ireland over a 10 day stretch and our only regret is that we didn’t spend more time at The Pilot House. We enjoyed our stay immensely and are already talking about when we should return. Book The Pilot House, you’ll be glad you did.

Great way to spend a week by the sea
Wonderful house and great location. Very clean and great communication, including great local dining recommendations. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the pier. A little noisy at times but that is to be expected with the proximity to the pier. We would definitely stay here again.

What a beautiful place
This was a really lovely place with gorgeous views. The main room is upstairs so you can sit and enjoy the peaceful sea views that is on both sides of the house. There are 2 balconies to sit on. The rooms are beautiful. We wish we could have stayed longer - and the weather would have cooperated a bit more so we could enjoy the beach on the doorstep for more time. Our host was helpful and very responsive with any queries.

We really enjoyed our stay. Less than an hour from dublin airport it was the perfect place to have a chill 2 nights and recover from the red eye flight from the states.

Fabulous house, fabulous location!
A fantastic holiday, beautiful house with stunning views of the beaches and coast. The house was perfect in many ways, from decor, appliances, bedrooms, living space with it's panoramic views. Our host, Ciara, was extremely helpful and available when needed with advice or assistance. Looking forward to staying at the house again.

Stunning property
Beautiful clean house in a great location. Very comfortable - we felt right at home. Ciara was also very helpful and quick to respond to any queries. It got a little bit loud and busy along the pier at night but that's to be expected with such a stunning location. Highly recommend!

Beautiful coastal home
I stayed with a group of friends. The house is in a beautiful location on the coast. Beside a pier where you can go for a swim and 5 minute walk to Fergusons Bar which had a lovely atmosphere and great food. The home itself is beautiful. Felt like staying in a boutique hotel and Ciara was very accommodating. Quck to respond to messages, very friendly and advised on local place to eat. 10/10 We will definitely be back!

Excellent Stay
We recently stayed here for part of our time while in Ireland. Ciara is great and very nice. Her level of communication with us through the whole process was excellent. She is fast to respond to messages. The property is modern, clean, and well appointed. The views from either front balcony or porch were stunning. If you are looking for a place to stay on the water this is the place.

Wundervolles Haus, gute Ausstattung noch näher am Meer geht nicht! Man sieht das Meer aus allen Fenstern. Liegt etwas abseits - ohne Auto schwierig Carlingford ist nicht zu Fuß zu erreichen

Exceeded all expectations
The location is off the beaten path and exactly what we were looking for. Views for days out of every window. The front deck is steps from the water and pier; the back deck was comfy and great for eating dinner or morning tea. A cute pub is just up the road, and King Johns Castle in Carlingford was just a short ten minute drive. The furnishings were top notch and the beds were comfy. Will definitely look into staying here again. Easy drive from Dublin.

Excellent Property
We were surprised to find that this property was even better than expected from the description and photos. The kitchen and living space are on the second floor, which allows for 180 degree water views. And there are two outdoor decks where we thought there was only the 1. Ciara was very involved with the check in process - we got lost trying to find the place and she was very responsive and helpful. The property was stocked with more amenities than we had expected - cushions for outdoor chairs, towels for post-swimming, a washer and dryer (which we were very happy to have as I'd fallen into a bog earlier that day!). Ciara had even left us a few snacks as a welcome. We were really blown away. Can't say enough good things about our experience with this rental.

The Perfect Getaway
What can I say about this amazing property. Firstly the host Ciara was very welcoming and helpful. The Pilot Station is just superb. The finish and detail that has been achieved inside is worthy of a boutique hotel. The high quality inside is not only comfy but also has every mod con that you need. The views from every room in the property are just magical. Every window is like an ever changing work of art! I could not recommend The Pilot Station enough

Awesome Stay
We stayed here our first night in Ireland. I don’t think it could have been better. I absolutely recommend this property. Ciara was so helpful, especially when we had a little difficulty getting to the right place. Amazing views. Beautiful property. Stay at least two nights! We only stayed one and wish we could have enjoyed it more. Hopefully we can get back.
