The home itself was perfect size for our extended family weekend. But - Online photos do reflect what the house looked like at a better time. Furniture is well used as are the kitchen cooking items. The beds were fine. House was dimly lit. This home can be much more inviting if deep cleaned top to bottom. It appeared to have been lightly cleaned before our visit and the outside area and grill need to be cleaned up.

Overall the house was nice. However, whoever had been hired to clean didnt do a very good job. DIL needed to vacuum the upstairs railing and doorways for cobwebs. My husband and i washed down the outdoor chairs bc of moss and dirt. I know its hard to keep things clean in a mountain setting but they looked like they hadnt been touched in quite a while.

Huge Disappointment

I do not recommend this property. I would not stay at this house again. We selected this house to participate in a family gathering in Sky Valley for the Fourth of July week. Late at night the first night there, sitting on the couch watching a movie, I saw what I thought was a rodent run across the dining room from the kitchen area. My husband contacted the property manager/owner the next day to report the incident. The housekeeper was sent to put rodent traps in the house that day. We had made plans to be out all day to avoid dealing with a rodent being present. The next morning we heard noises coming from behind the couch. Upon investigating, my husband found a live rodent caught in a trap. We left the house immediately and my husband reported the rodent to the property manager. The housekeeper was sent to remove the rodent. We were offered a refund for the remainder of our stay, unfortunately with it being Fourth of July we couldn’t find alternate accommodations close to my family. We had intended to cook meals but all the equipment in the drawers and cabinets were old and the rodent had been in the kitchen area. The main fabric couch is not in good condition as shown in the listing. All the cushions are flattened and misshaped and the rug was dirty. The grills outside were dirty and covered with ash. The rugs in the downstairs full bath were worn out. The experience of this house was a huge disappointment on what should have only been a fun and happy week.

Mountain cabin fun

Ten of us enjoyed our stay at the property. There was plenty of space for all of us. It was rainy so we spent time playing board games, playing foos ball, going to the gym, and watching movies. When the sun came out we went to see the waterfall that was 5 mins from the house. Gorgeous and you didn’t have to hike to get to it. We also played pickle ball by the gym. So fun. We were in town for a wedding. It’s a beautiful area.

Girls Trip

My friends and I enjoyed a weekend trip to Sky Valley, GA. We really enjoyed this house and its amenities. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the screened in porch and in the evening sitting in the large living area catching up. WiFi is provided and worked really well, which was great as cell service is spotting in the mountain area. The location is close to wineries and a short drive to the downtown Highland area where we enjoyed a day of shopping and good food. The house is located in a golf course subdivision and we had access to the community pool, tennis and pickle balls courts, etc.

Mountain getaway

We had a great time during our stay here. There was plenty of space for sleeping arrangements, a big kitchen, and plenty of bathrooms. The only downside was that the showers were not very clean. Overall, a very nice place and I would stay again!

Wonderful family Christmas

Home was perfect for us Even had Christmas decorations up. Firewood had gotten wet but still enjoyed one for 15 minutes. Looking forward to staying here again next Christmas. Our host was marvelous

Cozy Comfort!

We enjoyed the location, serenity and safety of this rental home. The neighborhood was so beautifully decorated and the waterfall and trail right in the community was such fun! We hiked to the overlook and back to the fall for a picnic. We had plenty of room and on a rainy day stayed in all day! Very comfortable and cozy!

Waterfall Chasers

Our stay was wonderful. There were 8 of us traveling. We all had our own comfy beds. The kitchen was large and nicely stocked. The dining room and living room was roomy and comfortable. I wish we had more time to enjoy the large porch and fire pit. Thank you for a great stay.
