Our stay was wonderfully accommodating, from the lake views, cleanliness, and the comfortable beds, everything was thoughtfully put together. We appreciated the amenities such as fresh towels, shampoo and conditioner, a well-stocked kitchen with utensils, pots or pans, coffee, tea, and even seasonings galore! There was also an assortment of games and books. Since we were staying during the early spring of upstate NY, it was chilly, but we were so warm and cozy thanks to both propane fireplaces. We travel with our furry companion and it was evident from the pictures and a doggy dish that this place was for fellow pet lovers. The Lakehouse was so welcoming especially as our family remembered and celebrated the life of our mom/grandma who passed exactly a year ago to the date. We enjoyed the waves against the shore and captured all of the sunrises and sunsets. Thank you again to the hosts! We hope to stay again!

Excellent communication and location. Well stock kitchen, plenty of "good" towels and sheets. Close to Watertown and Fort Drum. Definitely recommend this beautiful house, and will definitely come back.

Comfortable, inviting, well equipped kitchen. Host thought of everything. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood. But, what made this remarkable was nightly magnificent sunsets overlooking the lake. The house sits right against the lake. Almost feels like you're on a boat in the lake. Loved,loved,loved the house. Looking forward to our return.

Terrific experience. Cottage was larger and nicer than I expected from the pictures. Extremely well appointed in terms of kitchenware etc. in general it is clear the owners have looked to make this as pleasant an experience for guests as possible. Great recommendations in the book left for guests etc. Highly recommend.

I have traveled extensively and this is by far the best home as far as VRBO or Airbnb that I have rented. Extremely clean. Everything you need is here and then some. Very extensive and detailed information in the book that is provided about the home. The location is absolutely amazing and it was beyond our expectations. We had a fabulous time. Very quiet, beautiful area around the home. Sunsets were amazing and the sound of the water was just so relaxing. I would give it a 15/15 if I could vs. 10/10. Highly recommended.

A lovely home right on Lake Ontario. The large windows makes it easy to enjoy the beauty of the lake even while you're inside. The sunset were stunning and deck overlooking the water made the perfect veiwing spot. I would highly recommend staying here.

Relaxing stay in a beautiful setting

Cute, clean, calm and comfortable. The house is right on the water with lots of wildlife to view (deer, turkey, bald eagles, loons and a resident groundhog who entertained us during our morning coffee). Amazing sunset views. Well appointed kitchen and super comfortable beds. Enjoyed the deck on sunny days and during a cool, rainy day we fired up the gas fireplace to read, play games and watch the birds swoop around the bay. Plenty of activities within a relatively short drive. My husband, who is hard to impress, declared that we should make this a yearly trip. Host was very open to engagement and provided lots of tips on local trails and restaurants.

Tranquility of Lake Ontario

If you want the meditative qualities of watching the ripples and glistening of Lake Ontario through all windows this is your place! The deck is literally over the edge of the rocks, the house was immaculate, and the host exceptionally considerate. This is a great place to go to unwind.

North Country Oasis that sounds like it's oceanside

This property is a North Country gem perched right on Lake Ontario, affording exceptional water views and the relaxing sound of the waves as they break beneath the deck. Neat as a pin, with ample sized bedrooms, and a well-stocked kitchen. Excellent wifi hookup if staying tethered is essential.

The property is very well maintained. Enjoyed the big windows to enjoy God's magnificent creation. The weather was chilly and rainy, so we couldn't spend much time outdoors, but sure did sit by the windows alot. Sunsets and full moon over the water was just beautiful. We drove up to see the Boldt castle and spent a day in that area. We would come back in an instant if it was closer. Sure glad it was available when we needed it. Price was right.

Absolutely wonderful- already planning our next trip. The house is perfect size for us- my husband, me, and two young adult children. Easy to find, easy to enter. We didn’t have our dogs but it is dog friendly. It’s so comfortable, the views were breathtaking. We saw a comet and several shooting stars at night. 20 min or so drive to fort drum.

Lakehouse getaway

This beautiful, very clean and comfortable home provided the getaway we had hoped for. From the kitchen to the living quarters, we had everything needed for the comforts of home. The lakefront deck was so relaxing for morning coffee and evening sunsets. The shore road is a great, safe, route for walking and bicycling. We will definitely return. We had a wonderful stay! I can’t think of a thing that house did not have. It was the cleanest vacation rental we have ever stayed in! Any questions we had were quickly answered by the host. The views were amazing. Neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Wish I would have booked us a longer stay!

Excellent quiet retreat

Location is 5 stars for view and neighborhood. Four stars is just a heads up that the big stores are a little farther than you might be used to, and as the host says, there can be a lot of deer to avoid. Everything else is ideal. The kitchen is exceptionally well-appointed, and she has anticipated nearly every need.
