"This historic Inn was decorated beautifully for the season & our room, Mary Queen of Scott's room#12, was tastefully decorared with an antique canopy bed & period pieces. Our room looked over the courtyard and lake. From the signature drink selection to the appetizer and dinner, portions were beyond expectations with reasonable prices. "We stayed there with my adult children. We all travel frequently for work yet none of us had every stayed in a more inviting and beautiful home as the Country Lodge. It was large enough for us all to have privacy, to have space for cooking, playing games, working out, reading and knitting in front of the fireplace. We also enjoyed walking in their woods to the waterfall in the early evening as the snow gently fell. Then coming home to the warm inviting space the hosts provided us. Our mission...

"We were a group of seven adult friends and also had another seven guests visit for a sort of reunion event. This house is an open concept with plenty of space to enjoy inside. The best part about this house was the side and back yards as well as a porch deck with a picnic table and a roof. Given the space and dates we stayed, we would highly recommend this place to all kinds of of people/groups to rent. I should also add that this house is a great value and for sure we will very likely return...

"The location is beautiful the cabin is beautiful. I wish we could have stayed longer. It’s cozy and to have the electric fireplace going and just watching it snow and rain was amazing. Just the get a way we needed. I’m planning on renting it again in the summer and bringing my kids so they can enjoy as well. "

"Our family stayed here to attend a college graduation nearby. The lake view and vibe were both amazing and peaceful. We were greeted by our hosts, they were very friendly and helpful. The cottage had everything , my sons enjoyed the canoe and paddle boards provided too. The 2nd night, the entire area lost power, we lost water too, that put a damper on the trip.."

"It was really nice to be greeted with wine, cheese, and crackers! The owners were nice and responsive, and the location on the lake is beautiful. But the house felt like it was slanting into the lake, there ceilings were cracked and damaged, and water in the kitchen smelled strongly of sulfur. We lost power, which was not surprising, but I was surprised the owners were not prepared. No candles or flashlights, except a citronella candle."
