"Charming town, easy access to train to Edinburgh. The studio is nicely designed and decorated. Unfortunately, access to the unit was very poor - the code sent to us was incorrect, and the host was unresponsive. We finally gained access after talking with a VRBO supervisor who was able to pull up the correct code that the previous guest used. Unfortunately, the code changed again the second night, and we were only able to gain access by using a different combination of the original 4-digit code....

"Our stay was overshadowed by the host sending us a series of unpleasant and increasingly threatening messages. We were travelling up from Nottingham because we had a funeral the following day. When we got there we had some elderly family members visit us at around 7pm in the evening. We had booked the property for 3 adults and 1 child, as stated in the booking, and there was never any intention for additional guests to stay. Nowhere in the property listing, booking information or any separate...

"Hated writing this one. Were huge on not caring too much about overall condition and usually go based on price concern with a balance of convenience, quiet and cleanliness. Great place if you can actually get it cheap and just need it a night or two. TONS of stairs, don’t book if you have a bunch of luggage or are by yourself and have several pieces to carry. Looks like the water stain thing isn’t actually new like we were lead to believe and with how bad it is, and the earthy smell in the...
