"We had a lovely 1 night stay at The Seven Hotel in Southend. The staff were absolutely brilliant — friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was lovely, especially the bed and bedding, which felt much better quality than most hotels we’ve stayed in. We also had a gorgeous view over the Thames Estuary. It was an easy walk from Southend Central Station too, which made getting there really straightforward. I would definitely recommend...

"This is not a place to stay for light or sensitive sleepers. It is across the road from the town's clocktower which strikes every hour and chimes every quarter right through the night. The hotel clearly recognises the problem because it leaves earplugs, which are ineffective, by the bedside. "There is a need to be very carefull when describing accomodation as Boutique.Hamiltons is an excellent place to stay very comfortable,clean and a tasty big British Breakfast.Boutique usually has very big towels,dressing gowns to use with the option to buy them,DVD player,fridge in the room and many more extras.Best to describe Hamiltons as Boutique style accommodation."

"The Ilfracombe is a little olde worlde but very comfortable and quiet. The beds are comfortable, the rooms clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast served in their quaint breakfast room is absolutely superb and set us up well for a long day's walking in the sea air! "
