"Very helpful staff. Food in restaurant very good. The whole place is clean and there are bouncy castles in the garden for children. They take blue light cards for food. The major disappointment is that the bar and main building shuts at 10pm promptly. Thus no more drinks even for residents and you can’t even sit in the building which is locked. Thus you either sit in the garden or go to your room. Sadly there is nowhere nearby to get a drink etc. crazy beating in kind we were there for Friday...

"Very pleasant room in pub /hotel in centre of town with fast wifi and all amenities. Cooked breakfast also included -although quite a short time for breakfast - between 8.30 and 10 on a Saturday. But breakfast was fine."

"The bathroom was dirty, clearly had not been cleaned properly in some time, there was hair all over the floor, dirt build up around the shower tray and shower itself. Windows were also very dirty. The breakfast bag is not worth it as it’s not ready to go you have to wait 10mins for the hot part!"

"Turned up to be told the manager was out and wouldn’t be back for half an hour at least, so we couldn’t check in. So had to sit and wait (we were supposed to be getting ready for a wedding). Manager treated us as though we were some sort of nuisance wanting to check in. So after nearly 45 min she arrived and asked for a £200 deposit… this wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the listing. "I had a great stay! The hotel was very clean and in a fantastic location, making it easy to get around. The staff were incredibly helpful, and everyone in the restaurant was especially lovely and welcoming. It was also great to have the option of on-site parking. Would definitely stay here again."

"Having lived near the Watermill Premier Inn during my younger years, I thought I'd enjoy the stay during a recent visit back home from the USA. Unfortunately, the Pub and Hotel has declined and are both in need of some desperate attention. The Hotel needs a makeover, with new paint and room accessories. Air Conditioning would be a benefit along with in room refrigerators and coffee makers. Outside, landscaping and decor could also use some work. Overgrown shrubs, lawns and trees are not a...

"The staff were absolutely amazing, me and my partner stayed for the weekend for a wedding. I felt very welcomed, and as though we had known each other for years! For that reason alone we are definitely going back. The food is great, fresh and hot! The rooms are quaint, and well presented. Initially there were a few issues which could not be helped, the staff were so attentive and apologetic, that we felt that they couldn’t have done more. So recommend this place, just for the staff alone!!"

"The Ilfracombe is a little olde worlde but very comfortable and quiet. The beds are comfortable, the rooms clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast served in their quaint breakfast room is absolutely superb and set us up well for a long day's walking in the sea air! "

"Beautiful guest house …very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful rooms, lovely and clean, with mini bar …and they little details in the rooms like Disaronno liquor ….a little Italian restaurant situated downstairs. Maldon is a beautiful village, with little shops and restaurants just around the corner, I would also highly recommend Mrs Salisburys for food & service too which is just around the corner on the high street. Parking is also available. "
