"Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh! We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....

"We have stayed here previously for a festival and found the food really tasty with incredibly generous portions, lovely friendly staff and nice rooms for a great price which was the reason we chose again this year. Unfortunately, we are not sure if we can stay again next year as hoped as the price has jumped up by almost £100 for the same weekend."
