"Great place for our getaway will stay again soon. Just bring bed sheets. pillows and blankets and towels kitchens are full equipped for cooking. Place was big and roomy and cozy Had a fireplace but didn’t use it. The area is under a burn ban at the moment so we wasn’t able to use firepit at nights walking distance to water hole to soak your feet for the time being Leakey about a 10min drive or so. A convenience store is about a 5min drive. Garner State park is about 10min drive as well. Very...

"We were 10 people. One family of 5 stayed in the bunkhouse, one family upstairs and 1 couple downstairs. We had plenty of room and it was comfortable. There was good water in the river. It is a quiet and peaceful location. We enjoyed our stay and would return. "

"August 2025 family vacation was great the whiskey mountain Valley Cabins were amazing from check in to check out. Check-in was a breeze. The owners made it very easy and very straightforward with how to check in, they even let us know if that the cabin was ready way before our check in. The kitchen was great. They were fully equipped with utensils, pots and pans they provided a coffee maker and microwave. Everything was great. The cabin was literally like in their description just minutes away...

"Great place on the Frio, very spacious, nice rooms and porch deck (as well as pavilion down by the river). Host was great. The bunk house worked out well for the college kids and the 3 rooms for the adults/parents. We hope to stay there again next year."

"My family and I spent a few nights for New Year's. This is a beautiful place, the entire area is amazing, the view is awesome, couldn't have asked for more! My family and I loved the cottage, all clean, comfortable, safe, the response to our needs was immediate and friendly. We have stayed at other cabins in the area in the past, but this one will now be our favorite place to stay; we are already planning our next vacation time there again. "

"Perfect get away for our family. We had our small grandchildren with us and they loved playing in the shallow areas of the river. The cabin has a nice back porch with a great view of the river. The host was very responsive and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again!"

"Great house, had everything we needed for a family of 9, very roomy. House was nice and cool when we arrived...big plus not having to wait to cool down since we had a baby with us. Beds where comfortable. Loved the water pressure! Cute little store right across from us(very reasonable prices)Close to everything... five mins to Leakey and 20 mins to Lost Maples for a morning hike. And 5 mins to relax in the river, which was great cuz it was FREE. The only thing I would suggest is putting some...

"A group of us always try and get away a few days each year. This year we chose the Hill Country, and we could not have picked a better spot. We all love to cook, so the smoker, grill and amazing kitchen were perfect for great dinners. The pool was immaculate, and porch time was very relaxing. Could not recommend enough. "

"Great location, convenient to surrounding attractions. Great pool. Kitchen was well equipped, plenty of clean towels. The only thing that I can criticize was that the floor under the beds were pretty dusty, but other than that it was great."
