"Our experience was a wonderful one for sure!!! The place was gorgeous and the area around was quaint, quiet, and peaceful, no doubt I would stay again. The home was so spacious and could really easily fit a family without being on top of each other. Highly recommend "

"Great location. Plenty of parking. Right on the Rock River. Very clean. Lots of outside seating on the decks. Lots of towels, though we couldn’t find them at first. They were in the dining room credenza. The house is pretty well stocked with supplies. The host is very friendly and responsive. Would stay there again."

"Our stay was great. There were just a few unclean areas noted. There were cobwebs on the light in the downstairs bathroom and linens left in both the washer and dryer. It was also listed as 0.5 miles from the August Hill Tasting Room. It was 2 miles from the tasting room and not walkable due to the stretch of highway with no sidewalk. Overall, it was a great place and we definitely would stay again!"

"Well maintained; Owner was responsive when we had questions. When the coffee maker didn't work, a new one was delivered the same day! Very convienient to Starved Rock, Buffalo Rock and Matthiessen State Parks. Enjoyed the fire pit out back in the private yard."

"This was a beautiful bungalow That had everything I needed And was also dog friendly. The location was on a busy street but it wasn't Off putting. It was a short drive to the state park and an easy walk into downtown for restaurants It was nice to have a garage to park in and there was a back deck to hang out on. The beds were comfortable And I appreciated The welcome note And the treats and supplies for my dog."

"We really enjoyed our stay on the river. Quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed the deck, the views of the river and the beautiful oak tree. Communications with Jason were excellent when we had questions. The area has some very good local restaurants and we enjoyed the state parks. "

"We really enjoyed staying at this property. The house was clean and well stocked, there were even amenities for our pups like bowls, pick up bags, treats and toys! It's so hard to find a property that takes larger dogs, but this was not a problem here. The fenced yard was perfect for late night let outs and running around. The location is perfect for accessing Starved Rock and Mathiessen state parks with a very useful write up of different hikes at Starved Rock provided in our welcome materials....
