"Very much appreciated the host’s quick response when we were lost and unable to find the cabin. It was cozy and we like small cabins, but a car boy of potable water and a sink with a bucket to collect wash water would have been helpful. Also, the path to the outhouse was submerged under a few inches of water - maybe some wood chips would be helpful? We constructed a bridge with rocks and wood blocks just to get to the outhouse."

"I had a nice stay here. The cabins were cozy and had a full kitchen. It had a nice view of Lake Superior as well. The only downsides were one of the bedrooms didn't have a heat source and the bathroom just a had a small shower. But that wasn't a concern for me. Grand Marais is a short drive away."

"We opened the door to the most incredible view & very welcoming home. The host had a nice basket of area treats for our stay. Ample cozy seating arrangements inside & out to enjoy family chats or listening to the sounds of the lake. The home has a nice collection of original art from local artists. "What a perfect setting in the woods and close to everything ie. Lutsen and Grand Marais. A few initial small glitches; however, Mr. Smothers was MORE than accommodating especially given it was Thanksgiving day. Pool was closed; however, the public pool in Grand Marais was open. A setting were several quiet walks with family was very relaxing and therapeutic! I HIGHLY recommend THE HIBERNATION HOUSE! "
