We spent most of our time hiking, but our time spent at the Studio provided everything we needed, especially the wonderful, easy access to the lake. The quiet, beautiful, naturally landscaped neighborhood was relaxing, yet all the conveniences of town were just minutes away. Would definitely recommend staying at The Studio."

"We loved every minute of our trip it is a short distance to Downtown Grand Marais and lots of hiking around. Had campfires every night. Actually saw a a Black Bear walking 20-30 yards away in the woods. It is incredibly rare to see one and it saw us and immediately ran off. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to reconnect with nature and also sleep in a very comfortable bed. This is. The place for you."

"Awesome views, very clean. Beach lounge chairs are provided by Palm Bay, but they don’t provide umbrellas, you can rent one at the beach, around 28. We got lucky and there was a beach umbrella in the closet along with beach toys and kid floats. There were only a couple of small issues that are not real issues, more of an inconveniences. No paper towels, no salt n pepper and no grill utensils. These were fixed with a quick Instacart order and we didn’t miss a beat. We will definitely stay here...

"It’s a beautiful property well planned. No running water and an outhouse. Solar electricity, which works fine if you don’t overuse it. We love the experience. It was challenging I’m 79 and my partner 84. We needed to be in reasonable condition to manage the challenge."
