Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've prepared well enough. We've put together a list of essential travel tips that will get your Jhapa vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a pleasure if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a clean pair of socks and something to read. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, any medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and strong acids, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The key to a comfortable flight often lies in your clothing choices. Prepare for changes in temperature by layering up. This will keep you nice and warm if the cabin starts to cool down. Shoes like sandals and heels are best left in your suitcase. Even though they may be your favorites, opt for flat, closed-toed footwear like sneakers. Your feet will thank you for it.
- Caused by sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a condition that can affect some passengers during long flights. The good news is there are ways to significantly reduce the risk of developing it. Stay hydrated, get up and walk around the cabin as much as possible and wear compression socks or tights.
