From the moment we walked in, with soft light and music on, this condo was all we hoped for! It was clean and had all of the kitchen accessories I needed, as I did cook there a lot! A minor maintenance issue during my stay was addressed right away. Thanks to Real Joy's maintenance gal, Shea. Staff at Real Joy was very helpful and communicative!

Very nice condo with amazing views. Enjoyed seeing the dolphins. Good communication with the host. Beautiful beach, nice pools, and lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Would rent again.

Property, room everything was great except the glass was out of the door leading to balcony, they put a board in it. That should’ve been taken care of or let person renting know,we wouldn’t have booked that room, but found another one at the same resort. Deceiving in discription.

It was happy with the place other then the coffee pot not working and electricity problem. But we ate out ,so really didn’t effect us. We were brought a new coffee maker. (Keurig). We did a puzzle that was in unit but there was some piece missing. Lol

The property staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, kitchen had supplies needed. Limited carts available at busy time of check in had to make several trips to room delaying time to relax and get settled in.

Great vacation, but I paid 4k for this room. Although I have 0 complaints what so ever. It was a bit pricey considering everyone else that booked here at the pelican directly only paid 2k.

Paradise Getaway

We absolutely loved our stay in this condo! It’s at the top floor so you have a gorgeous view of the ocean! Beds are comfortable. Condo is clean and decorated in a tasteful manner. We highly recommend and can’t wait to be back!

Wonderful stay!

Condo:Condo was clean and everything worked well. We were provided plenty of towels and had the essentials to start with. Some of the dinnerware utensils had stains and a bit of rust but there were plenty of good ones for my family to use. Note: beach towels are not supplied. We enjoyed being on the very top floor. The view was amazing from the condo. Management provided clear instructions on check in and check out. Resort;The resort was amazing. Smoke-fre, plenty of space in the pools, and nice tiki bar and lunch option. My 3 year old had to practice her patience as one elevator was down (resort is currently upgrading/updating the elevators) but it was still faster than expected being we were on the top floor. Checking in and out was breeze. The negative comment I have is not related to the condo or management of the condo, the resort has a private beach section and we could not set up private umbrellas along the shore. The resort rentals are set up along the shore about 2-3 rows back. Only private set ups are allowed after the rental set up and we couldn't go into another section.Area:Plenty of restaurants around but not much little toddler activities. Target and Walmart are close by. Henderson State Park (4 entry) was beautiful and a great alternative if you want beach access without the crowds and to be along the shore.Overall, I would recommend this condo and would choose to stay again here!

Very nice

We thought the unit was very nice and clean and as described. My son slept on the pull out couch because the mattress for the bunkbeds was very uncomfortable, it was like laying on box springs. Another issue we had which doesn't have to do with the unit itself but more of an FYI for future renters is that they are doing construction or something on the roof and the units beside us, there were lots of banging and hammering starting around 7 or 8 am everyday - so no sleeping in on your vacation!

It was nice, but the bathrooms could have been cleaner. Mold around the faucets, and the main entrance door has to be pushed to get it opened. Code worked but had to try at least a couple of times because of what I mentioned. The view was spectacular!!

Gorgeous view!

The view from this condo was AMAZING! We spent so much time out on the balcony just watching the waves. My kids loved the bunk beds, although I was a little unsure of the railing on the top bunk. It was very loose. The master bedroom bed was comfortable and the dresser was big enough for our whole family’s clothes. There were a few issues. Not a fault of this unit, but the elevators were awful. There were 5 of them and at least one was always broken. The waits could take forever sometimes. At one point, the call buttons for the bank of 4 elevators together weren’t working, so everyone had to use the single outdoor elevator. In the unit, the microwave started tripping the breaker halfway through our stay. We notified property management, but didn’t want to wait for someone to come fix it, so we were without a microwave for a day. Property management is very quick at responding to issues. Lastly, I went to fill up the bathtub in the master and the water had so much dirt/black stuff floating in it. I don’t know if it was a water problem or dirty tub problem, but we all used the stand up shower the whole trip. Overall, our stay was great. The resort is awesome, with 3 pools and hot tubs, a tiki bar, cafe, beautiful beach, and parking garage. We’d definitely stay at Pelican Beach again.

Review

Condo was nice, carpet coming up on one corner which could be a tripping hazard. Dining chairs were pretty hard and not comfortable and don’t understand only one garbage bag. Only one elevator working at check-in day, but got better. Would return to this property or others in Destin again.

Disappointed in Destin

The patio was covered in pigeon poop. After requesting it be cleaned, it was finally done on day 3. The building has a real pigeon problem. The owner/HOA needs to address it. I would stay in this building again, but not this unit unless I knew they had the pigeon problem under control.. The pigeons seem to like the higher floors. There can be as many as 20 birds sitting on the railing on a single patio. The rug in the main room is worn out, dirty and rolled up on one end creating a possibility of tripping. I was double charged for an additional night. After a couple of phone calls I was told I should see a refund in 7-10 days. Time will tell.

Beautiful Views on Top Floor

Lovely Beach front property with great views! Would definitely come back again. Property manager was quick to respond with questions and minor fix. Access to “carts” made hauling items to room easy; close to grocery stores, local restaurants and activities.
