The house is very nice just ultimately wasn’t set up for a week plus of us being there. There wasn’t very many dish towels or bed sheets. The hot tub did have a little gunk in it but we wiped it out and used it and had a ton of fun. Wouldn’t mind staying again for the price but might look somewhere else next time and just spend the money!

Bathroom was dirty, hot tub had sand and other debris in the bottom. Beds were squeaky and driveway was a steep gravel path. View was nice and the location is hard to beat. Just expected better quality guven the excessive cleaning and transaction fees associated with this property.

Short getaway

I would like to file a complaint about this property. We messaged on Sunday night that we were having issues with the fireplace not lighting. The pilot light was on but we could not get the fireplace to kick on. There are three heating sources on the main floor of this property, only one of which worked. The heater in the bathroom would not come on as well. Never did hear back after we were told they were contacting the local person on Sunday night. The shower curtain liner was for a stand up shower, not a tub shower therefore it did not cover the entire opening of the shower. And my husband found a nail head sticking up out of the trim next to the hot tub. This was discovered painfully with his foot. The nail head is in a darker knot of the wood so not easily noticeable until you step on it. I am pretty sure that the electric box is not up to code as it is within a cabinet. The ceiling trim in the bedroom on the main floor is also coming down in at least one place. Also, if there is roof access to the building across the street from the Channel House, then anyone could see from the reflection of the mirror in the living room, what was happening on the couch.Also the drain from the kitchen sink was emitting a marijuana smell. The porch rail in combination with the overgrowth on the right side of the driveway did make parking a bit complicated.
