Everything was great, however the TV is not a 40" maybe a 32". Normally this would not be an issue but with age I had a very hard time viewing the television. This is my first time staying at something like this so I'm a little unsure what is considered normal. There were no instructions on what to do with trash when it was full so I had to message about that which took. I think a couple hours for a response. We were making a Thanksgiving dinner which they were aware of for family and we blew a breaker and it took them 10 hours to respond. Where to find the breaker box at? So we ended up getting the dinner made but it was very difficult to do with half the kitchen not working. Turns out the breaker box was in a basement that you accessed from outside. Appeared that there was a light but the light didn't work or was blown out. No directions if we are responsible for making the beds, stripping the beds, washing the bedding or anything to that nature. When we were done. We did wash all the towels that were used and folded and put all them away except for what was used the morning before I departure. Basically more instructions would work better in the future. House was clean. Other than some confusion it was definitely worth the money.

We loved the house. Our family came from 2 different states to visit with our family in MI. No real complaints, just 4 things to note.*Couch is well loved, will need replaced soon*Shower water has a smell(maybe a MI thing, maybe a country home thing)*Didn't realize someone lived upstairs,(they didn't bother us at all) just from description we thought maybe upstairs was just blocked off for homeowner use only. *Would have loved to have a grillWe plan to visit again soon and use this house again.

Stovetop/oven was awful. So dirty and burners were missing parts. Fire hazard. We could not cook any food except w microwave. We had to go out to eat. We had to spend - We are asking for a partial refund due to the added expense. Clothes washer was so bad we barely got one load clean. Bathroom was very clean. Tub/shower was very slippery. Fall hazard. No grab bars. Beds were comfy and clean. Front porch was nice.

Quick trip.for concerts

Great place to visit spots around the area. We used it as a jumping off spot for concerts at Pine Knob.AC is a portable unit, so it can get warm.

Quaint Historic Home with Unique Charm

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming 100-year-old property. It had a lot of character and was cozy and comfortable. The only minor issues were that the sheets and towels had a bit of a musty smell, and there were still some Christmas decorations up during our visit. Otherwise, everything was well kept, and we appreciate the unique, historic feel of the home. Thank you!

For a 1st time renting a vrbo, we Cant complain

Check-in was delightful. The home smelled amazong upon entry. All rooms were neat & tidy. I enjoy taking hot baths to relax at night, so I deceded to do so. My bath ran short due to running out of hot water. Decdided I would wait until morning to shower before checkout. Went to shower the next morning and still no hot water. Called the host & they offered to try to have maintenance come out, but couldn't guarantee anyone asap on a Sunday. We understand and are very easy going people, they noted on the phone call that the hot water hearter was addressed prior to our stay, and was in working condition. Again, we're only human and can only control so much. It was a nice stay, and we wish the host the best with the water heater endeavors.

Great place to stay!

Love the location and accessibility to shopping and food. House is well equipped with everything we need for a home away from home. Host communicates well and keeps the place clean and stocked with extra blankets and linens for cooler weather. Great stay!
