친절한 직원들의 응대와 쾌적한 방이 좋았습니다. 호텔 내에 식당이 있어 식사 때 편리했고, 다르질링역 옆에 위치한 것도 좋았습니다. 숙소 옆에 마트가 있는 점도 좋았어요.

They didn't have laundry services, which I think would be a good basic addition. Everything great otherwise! Definitely get the rooms facing the north west out over the valley.

The Udaan experience was like an oasis in the desert. You came into a different world once inside. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The welcome from the staff was very inviting and friendly. The service was excellent from all staff but an extra mention to the Manager who went out of his way to make our holiday memorable by cutting a cake and also singing a song for us on our last night. Amazing!! On a daily basis the staff would check on us if we were wanting for anything and they would oblige almost immediately. The variety of breakfast was also excellent and varied although pure vegetarian it was very well made. I would definitely recommend Udaan to anyone who wants to feel pampered and looked after.

Neat hotel with no frills like hand towels or hair dryers. Linen is stained due to the local water shortages I assume. AND note that their hotel restaurant is fully vegetarian (even if it said it somewhere I clearly missed it). Otherwise the view from the balcony is very nice when the weather is clear…

The ONLY property in Darjeeling with luxury rooms having balcony facing the majestic Kanchenjunga. The hotel is 100% Vegetarian but there are so many landmark N Veg options at stone throw that this is not an impediment. Restuarant is serving amazing food along with daily live singing by local talents. Darjeeling station where all the Toy Train (heritage steam engine driven trains) start for joy ride is 1 min away from hotel.
Entrance is deceptively small but the property inside is huge.

We had an excellent stay - property is fantastic . Staff are very eager to help . The property is very close to the local train station - around 5 mins walk . Although the property is on the main road, the rooms are very quiet - especially ones facing away from the road. Overall we enjoyed the stay and will definitely recommend this hotel.

Beautiful rooms with comfortable beds. I'd stay here again if I ever find myself in Darjeeling. I lived it. The food was really good. You are able to walk a short distance to the train station. There is shopping and street food options around the area. I liked the location a lot. Excellent service as well!

Every staff is kind and friendly. The room is clean with hot shower, which needs several minutes to get warm water. I asked the front to make a reservation for Tigers Hills early morning trip, which is so impressive that we are satisfied very much. The restaurant is also good with Western and Indian foods. We recommend the hotel for all who will visit Darjeeling.

Hotel very nice but Darjeeling not worth a visit

The hotel was very comfortable with a fabulous view of Kanchenjunga. There is a Reliance store in the building itself should you need anything. Toytrain station - a short walk away. Staff are courteous. However, Darjeeling has become very filthy, dirty and congested with traffic and noxious fumes. Didn’t get the feeling of a hill station. Regret my decision to go there for a holiday .

Beautiful looking hotel, with exceptionally helpful staff and stunning views. However, there’s no spa, laundry takes 4-5 days (we only stayed for 2), and it’s COLD in January! The water never gets above warm, and you can see your breath in the corridor. Attic rooms have stunning views but side windows with no curtains so you’re up with the sun. Restaurant is slow but does good veggie Indian food that comes out at separate times, but the live music is a woman playing a backing track through a PA and reading off her phone. Mostly happy, but would’ve liked a spa, just for the sauna to get warm in!

A fine hotel

Almost everything about the stay was great, except for a couple of things. The restaurant and lobby were cold. Please put space heaters in both areas during the winter months. They didn't provide floor and hand towels regularly. There was no place to put the soap in the bathroom.

The property is excellent and one of the best place to see the mighty sleeping buddha formation while sipping your morning coffee from the comfort of your balcony. If your goal is to watch the Kanchenjunga throughout the day then this hotel should be your choice as it provides better views than even the famous batasia loop. Pros: Furniture and fittings are of the highest quality Views of Kanchenjunga from the balcony (check with reception before booking) In house restaurant provides tasty vegetarian food Cons: There is no hotel frontage, so getting up and down from the cab is a bit of a hassle and needs to be done in a hurry 20 min uphill walk to the mall. Cabs charge whatever they want. Suggestion: The hotel has everything that one wants in Darjeeling except for the access to the mall, if a free shuttle can be arranged at regular intervals to ferry hotel guests uphill, it will be a huge improvement. Coming downhill isn't a problem. *The water pressure in the rain showers inside the washroom is one of the best I have seen in a hotel in India
