"We have stayed at Alpine River Cottages many times over the years, and for a good reason. The location is central to both Bright and Myrtleford, without the business of either town. The cottages overlook the tranquil Ovens River, where in Summer you can swim and enjoy the natural surrounds.

"We stayed here while working night shift and were disappointed with how things were handled. The room we booked had one queen and two single beds (clearly suited for four people), but the booking was listed for three. When the owner saw there were four of us, we were told to pay an extra $20 per night.
The issue itself could have been understandable, but the way it was communicated came across as quite rude and unprofessional. It made the stay more stressful than it needed to be."

"The property is well maintained, very cosy and welcoming. Host Chris is excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Our little dog was most welcome and I think she enjoyed having a yard to sniff around in and play ball. I would highly recommend this to other travelers with dogs. Easy walk into the town for coffee or dinner at the local pub."

"Beautiful accommodation. Luxury decor and attention to detail down to the Robert Gordon bowls and LED lighting. Bev at check-in was lovely and provided us with details of local bike rides and hikes. Highly recommend :)"
