Important for future guests: this property is advertised as having a pool, but the pool may not be available during your stay.We specifically searched for and booked a home with a pool. Using filters for “pool,” pet-friendly, and the Cottonwood area, this property appeared in our results.The listing title & photo (“Home w/ Pool & Views”), amenities, and numerous photos heavily promote the pool as a central feature.When we arrived, the pool was completely drained and unusable. Daytime temperatures during our stay were warm enough for a pool, with some days reaching the 90s, which made this especially disappointing.When we contacted the host, they initially said they needed to “look into it,” suggesting the pool’s status was not obvious. We were later told it is closed seasonally, but this is only noted deep in the description while the rest of the listing strongly markets the pool.We were told rates were adjusted for this, but pricing appears similar to when the pool is available.We were initially told a partial refund would be considered, but it was ultimately denied, and Vrbo declined to assist.If the pool is unavailable for months at a time, it should not be prominently featured in the title, photos, or search filters.Confirm all key amenities directly before booking.
