"We stayed for 5 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Sally and Paul were perfect hosts, friendly and chatty. The room was clean and well equipped. The location was great, not too far from the centre or the attractions but nice and quiet. Only had breakfast once but it was delicious. Everything was clean and we had all we needed. Definitely will be booking again when we can "

"A lovely village pub. I didn’t have a dinner, however, the breakfast, which was included in the room rate, was really nice, with freshly made coffee, which was good. The rooms are above the pub, my window faced the outdoor patio but I didn’t find it noisy. The room was large with a comfy double bed, and a nice sofa style chair for one. "I liked everything about the Lodge, friendly staff, excellent service. The hot tub was excellent too. It is nice and quiet here too. I will definitely rebook in the future."

"I needed a one night stay before my flight. Although not an ensuite i had a bathroom along the corridor to myself. Host was very friendly and informative, helped with all my airport access questions. Excellent value for money, and only an 8 minute flat walk away from the airport. Yes some bits are a bit tired, but for the price paid excellent value for money. Would definitely stay there again when flying from Newcastle Airport. "
