Great stay, need to fix refrigerator

Overall, the house and location were great! We had 10 adults and 2 small children and the place was the perfect size for us. The beach was just a short drive and the shared pool was close to the house. The only reason why we may not stay again was the refrigerator. We read all the other reviews talking about the same issue and we were hoping it would have been fixed by now. We only kept a few things in the fridge and they were somewhat cool, but there is no way you would be able to cook there multiple nights and keep your food cold. Luckily we had multiple ice chest and kept our food in those. It seems this has been the same issue with everyone and for quite sometime now. There also was not a lot of cleaning supplies. Other than that the we enjoyed our stay.

SHELLEBRATION

House had what we needed. Location was great. Pool is very close to the house so easy access. Fridge doesn’t cool as good but there was an extra fridge that worked very well. Not sure why fridge has not been replaced. House was spacious. Ping Pong table was a big hit for the kids. House provided everything we needed. Maybe bring a throw blankets if anyone gets chilly. We would stay here again!

Everything it was good just need a little more cleaning out side the house !! Spider web every were ! Grill was extremely dirty! But really really the house is beautiful and comfortable. We love it!!! We will rent again.

Awesome time

The house was great! It was large enough for our family and grandchildren. It was close to the beach and the community pool was awesome. We only had problems with the refrigerator. It wasn't keeping our food cold. We did had to use ice chest to keep milk and certain food cold. The last day the garage had fleas and we were bitten while trying to pack up. We did enjoy ourselves and will be coming back.

We’ve stayed in Port Aransas twice now. The first time was in a house that was much nicer and half the price. The price for this property doubled when we changed our dates. However, I am unsure as to why it was so expensive. It was not any nicer or more accommodating than other places. It was in a rental community next to the dumpster area. We also had to get the access code and kitchen towels after we had arrived. The management did respond right away to our requests so I gave them points for that. We probably will stay somewhere else next time we come.

Good vacay spot for our big family!

Rental info and communication with company was good. House was in a prime location and had what we needed for a comfortable stay. Only addition would be a broom and maybe a few more mixing bowls and baking dishes. Will probably use these properties in the future!

Inaccurate description

The description on the listing was immaculate. There were several mechanical issues with the unit. The refrigerator was not cooling properly. The reasoning behind it not cooling that is written on the binder is not accurate. There is absolutely no way you cannot put room temperature items in the fridge because it will not “cool properly”. This is what refrigerators are for. Also, I took a photo of the back of the fridge which shows a huge ice block. This means that the fridge is not shutting properly because of that exact reason. The huge is block in the back isn’t allowing it to shut properly. Has nothing to do with putting warm items in the fridge. It is absolutely ridiculous that every guest would have to go through the trouble of placing only a couple of items at a time even though everyone is on vacation expecting a working fridge. Also, the thermostat on the AC is terrible. The recommendations listed on the binder are requesting guests to leave it at a certain temperature. If that’s the case, list it on the description. If a guest is not going to have the capability of staying at their own desired temperature, then don’t offer that service. And just to be clear, a door that opens every once in a while will not cause the air to fail. It would only happen if a door/window stays open for a long period of time. The unit felt extremely hot for a long period of time. Especially considering the fact that we are in Texas which is very very hot. Also, the kitchen sink faucet doesn’t work properly. Only the sprayer works. There wasn’t any shampoo, body wash, conditioner, etc available for use in the master bath. After staying in many other places, this had never been an issue. Overall, the stay was very disappointing. We were excited to spend time with the family and we ended up worrying about all the issues rather then enjoying our small vacation.

Great House; Great Location

We loved this house and the location. The house was very clean and spacious. Check-in and out was easy, and we had no complaints with the amenities. The location is great in regards to beach access and other places around town. We would all definitely stay here again!

Beautiful house

Overall the house was beautiful and a pretty good location. We had our family get together here and enjoy our thanksgiving feast. The kitchen was big and spacious. The living and dining room were also spacious for our family of 12. Some things that would be good to fix or change are: FRIDGE!!!! it did not cool properly at all. Dish and hand soap: there was definitely not enough soap to do dishes and there wasn't enough hand soap either. Supply coffee filters. I brought coffee but didn't think I needed to bring filters. Supplying salt and pepper is always a good idea. There isn't an easy access to the beach, so prepare to walk about a mile, drive or rent a golf cart. Also there were exposed electrical wires in the bunk room right above a bed and by the ping pong table. Patch hole in bathroom.

The good: living room/kitchen area was a great size for a group. Bedrooms were good size and great number of beds. The improvements needed: the location is not close to beach access- golf cart is a must. Wish there was beach access closer. Kitchen floor needs a deep cleaning! Pls get a new refrigerator- it doesn’t cool all the way and the inside drawers and shelves are cracked and broken.

Really close to the beach and town!

Maintenance is required

Very clean, AC is undersized and has trouble keeping up on hot days. Refrigerator did not make ice or dispense water. One ceiling fan that is in the dinning room does not function. Tried to get ahold of the property manager to note the things that were not functioning but they never got back to me.

Annual Family Trip

Awesome accommodations with great location. Plenty of room for 8 guests including parking. Love the pond right out back with the water fountain. Love the large long dining table, ping pong table, large kitchen to accommodate a cooking family. Also, love the large comfy sofa. Will definitely stay here again. This is our favorite place of all time that we have stayed. Thank you

enjoyed our stay

this was our favorite place we've stayed at in Port Aransas. it was the perfect size, had everything we needed for cooking. the washer and dryer was convenient. the only thing i will say is maybe just a little better cleaning needed to be done, the fridge was broken but it was nothing that would make us not want to come back. we will definitely use this property again. thank you
