We had a few issues, as one does with a rental that is used a lot. The owner was ridiculously fast to respond and had 2 service people on the island that got us fixed up unbelievably fast. The pool was amazing as was the house itself. VERY well stocked in the kitchen and bath. Super clean. Port A is known for the roaches and I think we saw a total of 3 (1 dead) over 14 days. Absolutely loved the place and would stay here again without a doubt. We had 2 top chefs with us that made gourmet meals in the kitchen and off the grill. They are crazy picky about their kitchens and said this was the best they had ever seen in a rental. Very big, lots of private areas, sound didn't cary if someone was loud in 1 room. Fantastic for kids and family. Highly recommend!

Good place to stay. Just need a little work.

Overall good stay. The plastic pool chair snapped on me at pool but I was luckly not hurt. Pool wooden chair arm needed to be fixed. Bottom room air was bad and vents needed to be cleaned. Top room front bed sheets were dirty with signs of stains.

Great weekend getaway spot!

We had a great time at this coastal getaway home. The host was very responsive and great throughout the whole booking. Extremely accommodating. The home itself was clean and well kept. Thanks for making our weekend great!

Lacking in towels and TVs

We had 14 guests and not even a bath towel per person. The two larger bedrooms did not have a TV. Only one bathroom was a good size. All others had very small vanities. Only one kitchen toilet. Oven was broken and sink disposal did not work. The kitchen and family area was too small for 14 people. The dining table was pushed against the wall due to lack of room. Outside seating was nice, but the mosquitoes were horrible. We did like the location, golf cart and parking. The swimming pool was tiny.

Quick get away

The property is lovely and bright. I personally loved the art touches in every room. Host is very responsive. We hit a couple snafus from a previous stay but host was on top of it. My crew enjoyed their rooms and enjoyed their overall stay. The location cannot be beat. The ease of the available amenities really rounded out the stay. This place is perfect for a sizable group. I highly recommend this property. I already have it in my favorites.

Family Time

We had 6 adult family members for our week stay at Dog Days of Summer. The ground floor bedroom worked well for our nephew with his sweet pups. The bedroom is a bit small but was perfect for his needs. There is a grassy lot behind the house that was perfect for his dogs to go potty. There is a small turf area beside the house as well along with doggie bags. We used the outdoor patio table for our family meal time. It was perfect for our family of six. There is a dinning table with small bench seats inside but was not too comfy for older adults. There are quite a few stairs but not too steep to manage your luggage. Pack lightly. The house is very clean, beds comfy, and kitchen well stocked. This house is geared for children with loads of activities. The golf cart is a big plus and we loved that the house is so conveniently located to everything! We had a few issues accessing the home on arrival but Tim was great to work with and quickly responded to our needs! Unfortunately, we had a family emergency that cut our trip short. Only wish we could have had more time to enjoy all the house had to offer!

Great beach house!

We had a fantastic stay at Dog Days of Summer. I rely heavily on reviews when making a decision on where to stay, so I’m happy to provide a thorough review: The host was the most communicative and helpful of any property we’ve ever stayed at. We appreciated the speed and thoroughness for which he answered all of our questions. The property was large enough to comfortably accommodate our group size of 10 - 5 adults and 5 kids. The house was decorated beautifully with unique art and designs, and offered plenty of games and books for entertainment. The provided furnishings and appliances were higher quality than most other beach properties we’ve rented from. Initially we were a little concerned for the proximity of our neighbors - this property is situated in the middle of two others and while they are not attached, they’re very close together. I was worried they would be too loud, or we would be too loud, but neither ended up being an issue. Our kids especially enjoyed the pool. The distance to the beach was a little further than what we’ve done in the past (~15-20 minute walk, depending on age/speed of walkers), however the golf cart amenity made it completely manageable. We would have one half of our crew go down with the cart and set up, and then the driver would come back and pick up the rest of our crew. Proximity to restaurants was very convenient. We would absolutely rent this property again and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a beach rental!

Gorgeous house!

We had a wonderful time in Port A at this house. Everything was very clean and the house had plenty of space for our group (6 adults and 4 kids). The beds were all very comfy and having a private pool was great. There are restaurants within walking distance and the communication with the property manager was great. The layout of the house works very well for multiple family groups to have their own space. The kitchen was well stocked and the living room couch was massive! We will definitely be back!
