No volvería, decepcionante

Hotel muy aislado , aunque nuestro interés fue el buceo en Duggongs dive , el servicio de restaurante fue pésimo y caro. El transporte a Coron carísimo el doble de la media (2000php), el personal no fue el más simpático pero aceptable. Cuando llegamos al aeropuerto resultó que no había nadie para recogernos (suponemos que por la hora 16:30pm) y tuvimos que coger un coche por 700php cuando se suponía que el precio del transporte hasta el hotel (15min desde aeropuerto) iban a ser 500php con el servicio de recogida. Una vez llegamos al hotel y le dije el precio me dijo que era el normal y que estaba bien. Para el desayuno del día de buceo, nos dijeron que se podía hacer a las 5:30am y eran las 5:50am y no estaba listo, nos lo tuvieron que poner para llevar sin café ni ninguna bebida.

I highly recommend staying at this hotel for a Dugong tour! The owner is very hospitable, and they serve delicious Filipino food. My room had a hot shower, and the power outlets were Type A.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent - great family-style Filipino fare. View of the river was unmatched. For a cheaper, slightly older hotel, we couldn't fault anything.

とても快適に過ごすことができました。アメニティ等は一通り揃っており、特に不自由することはありませんでした。ただ、周りに歩いて行けるような売店等はないので、食事や飲み物等はホテルのレストランになるかと思います。自分は前もってダイビングを予約していたのですが、予定の決まっていない人にはホテルのスタッフがツアー等を案内していました。最終日に空港からホテルまでの送迎代を払った、払っていないで少しトラブルはありましたが、スタッフの方は親切で、良いホテルでした。また機会があれば、利用したいです。

Judith is the very best hostess who will go out of her way to make sure you have a wonderful, welcoming experience not only at her guesthouse but the whole area. She's so knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. She scheduled a night boat ride on the Decalachao River which runs through her property to see the fireflies, stars (literally out of this world), and luminescent plankton. I was heading to another spot the next day and she went out of her way to contact the hotel to arrange my boat pick up at the Decalachao pier and arranged transport there for me and my luggage (and on the return trip too). The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the views of the river and surrounding area were beautiful, and the food was generous and delicious. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and hope to return someday soon!

Comfortable, quiet and truly excellent staff

Our stay at the Riverhouse was amazing! The owners really did everything they could to make sure our stay was the best that it could be. When they found out it was our honeymoon, they even arranged a surprise for us to make sure our stay was extra special. If you stay here, make sure to take some time to speak with the owners! The staff really do go above and beyond to ensure day trips are smooth and seamless. You just book and everything is taken care of. Breakfast is basic but delicious and the food is some of the best we have had the in the Philippines! Other positives: - comfortable bed with multiple types of pillows - seamless transfers from town or the airport - baggage service - The area is so quiet! No roosters or motorcycle noise to be found here (a challenge sometimes in the Philippines)! Overall, the details (like mirrored glass on the windows for privacy) are taken care of and it really shows. We would definitely stay again!

Great stay away from the noisy town centre.. Great view, good diving and snorkelling spots, rented a kayak for a great arvo... Friendly spot with great and caring owners, great fresh food at a reasonable price.. You get what you pay for..

Perfekte Aussicht

Wir haben eine Nacht im Riverhouse verbracht. Das Zimmer war gross, sauber, mit Klimaanlage und warm Wasser. Die Aussicht wunderschön! Am Abend haben wir noch eine kleine Exkursion auf dem Fluss gemacht (über das Hotel gebucht) um Glühwürmchen am Flussufer zu sehen. Für uns hat eine Nacht gereicht, da es in der Umgebung sonst nichts gibt. (Man kann im Hotel Abendessen)

Quiet and relaxing stay in midst of nature

We had a very relaxed and convenient stay. The very quiet location in midst of nature, great staff, a beautiful terrace for dining with a fantastic panoramic river view, and not to forget, 3 or 4 funny and friendly dogs made our stay enjoyable despite the bad rainy days, which didn't allow us to go for any excursions, though island hopping,beautiful beaches, snorkeling, canoe and firefly sighting at night are being offered, when the weather allows it. We could enjoy a great river and nature view from our balcony, that compensated for the wet season, but a real downturn was, that especially during such rainy days, it would be nice to have Wi-Fi, TV and a hot shower, but unfortunately this hasn't been installed, and maybe its due to the remote nature location, but in that case the owner still can buy data and provide a modem, because most guests are used to enjoy Wi-Fi, and some need it.

The surrounding of the property is very unique. The rooms are very spacious and same is true for the balconies. However, the property location is very remote. Anyone willing to visit attractive sites in Coron such as the island hopping, going to lagoons etc. are advised not to stay in this hotel. The hotel is for people who wants to stay very near to the nature. Their is no shops, or restaurants are available in miles around the property.

Quiet place for relaxation

The place is only 15 minutes away from the airport, which is great. Quiet and away from town. The owner and staffs are friendly and accommodating. The beaches are few minutes away in a boat ride. The boat rides are fun so lack of a swimming pool doesn’t bother us.

煩わしさをわすれることができます

4泊しました。頼んでた送迎が来てなかったので、ん？と思いましたが、確認してないこちらが悪い。朝8時に到着し、なぜか朝食がでてきました。チェックインも14時からのはずですが、9時には部屋に案内されました。アクティビティはうまくいかない。ダイビングは提携先の都合に合わせるので行きたいところにはいけない。コロン島ツアーはコロンへの送迎が必要で、その費用の方が高い。以外だったのは、ジュゴンツアーが毎日ないこと。でも周りに何もない環境が素晴らしい。ゆっくりしたい人はどこにも行く必要が無いと思います。景色がいい、朝からカーテンを開けておくと小鳥がガラスにドンドンと当たって来る。ここに泊まっている時、日常のことを考えようとしても考えられない自分がいました。 PS 電気は一日中来てますし、冷房もあり、お湯のシャワーありです。

Quiet at The Riverside

We really enjoyed our stay at The Riverside - it was very chilled and quiet. Great for recharging your batteries and enjoying nature. We ate every evening at the restaurant as the location is pretty isolated, but that is all part of the charm. We didn’t take any of the trips on offer as we were both feeling under the weather however there were a number of interesting options, including island hoping and firefly watching.

quiet place to relax

nice place, if u want a quiet place to relax. far from everything, so u need a motorbike to get around or u book trips with the hotel, that offer many different. we only did kayak riding by our own, which we liked a lot. food in the restaurant was also good and fresh. only thing this place missing is a pool

Jungle hotel

Great hotel in the jungle with amazing views over the river. The rooms were excellent value. 10 minutes to the airport so very handy if you have an early flight from tiny Coron airport.

Great Nature Place

Really great place! Quiet, beautiful nature sight. Located right next to the river with great views of the mangrove forest and forest covered hills. Lots of special things to experince if you love nature: kayak in the mangroves, boat trip to your own breathtaking sand beach and best of all take the evening boat up the river and experience the stars, fire flies and the plankton lighten up the water!

Wir haben 7 Nächte im Riverside Hotel verbracht. Das Hotel ist etwas abgelegen von Coron Town hat aber eine ausgezeichnete Lage um richtig abzuschalten! Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und das Personal ist immer bemüht alle wünsche zu erfüllen. Insbesondere das Angebot der Tagesausflüge ist wirklich toll. (Beach Picnic! Ein Toller Strand ganz für einen allein) Das WLAN funktioniert leider nicht so gut, allerdings ist das für einen Entspannungsurlaub ja auch nicht so wichtig. Unsere Meinung empfiehlt sich das Hotel insbesondere für Paare. Wir haben unsere Zeit dort sehr genossen und würden auf jeden Fall nochmal wiederkommen. We spent 7 nights at the Riverside Hotel. The hotel is a bit out of the way from Coron Town but has an excellent location to really switch off! The rooms are very nice and the staff is always ready to fulfill all wishes. In particular, the offer of day trips is really great. (Beach Picnic! A great beach for one alone) Unfortunately, the WLAN does not work so well, but that is not so important for a relaxing holiday. Our opinion recommends the hotel especially for couples. We enjoyed our time there very much and would definitely come back again.

Comfortable but remote

Very comfortable bed with amazing view. Good taste in furnitures and overall design. Sparkling clean. A little too remote in the island, feels even more so when you kinda have to use their van service to go outside which was too expensive. (Was asked to pay about 40usd dollors for going back and forth to town) Food is okay but considering you don’t have choice but to eat inside the resort, did not feel too fair.
