  • Beautifully appointed, large family-friendly home, Oceanside in Corolla's Ocean Sands Section 0. This 6 bedroom, 5.5 bath home, with over-sized athletic pool (14'x28') and hot tub is sure to please. Enjoy water volleyball, relax in the sun on one of the many decks, view the ocean from your private Ship's Watch, and take an easy walk to the oceanfront.

    A large kitchen with state of the art appliances make the cooking experience even more enjoyable. The ample dining and spacious living area combine for a terrific entertaining and gathering space, with easy access to the Ship's Watch. There are Smart TV's throughout the home. A Master Suite with King bed top off this gorgeous home, with a private deck.

    Two more Master Suites with King beds offer private deck access on the mid-level. Two guest rooms share a jack-and-jill bath with double sinks. A powder room/half bath is easily accessible from both top and mid levels.

    There is something for everyone in your group! A game room with wet bar and pool table, laundry, and a bunk room with private bath finish the ground level. Access the large pool deck directly from the game room. It is the perfect family gathering place.

    Lounging by the pool never sounded so good! Outdoor speakers are strategically placed around the pool area. Speaking of the pool, it is the largest in Ocean Lakes! 200 Yards to the Beach.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location! The house is easy walking distance to the Beach, and not far from Restaurants and shopping. The only down side is that the mattresses were not very comfortable, and there were no toys/books for children. Other houses we have rented have had these items, so we were surprised that Bella Madrey had none. Overall I would recommend Bella Madrey as the location is so close to the beach!

Beautiful house great location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been vacationing since 1996 to the outer banks. The location is nice because the beach does not get as busy as other spots since the lake limits access from sound side rentals. This house is brand new and is shows. Everything needed for a vacation at the outer banks is there for cooking and enjoying the beach. Small items that were to be expected I called and the owner called back and was very helpful. They also vacationed here for years and were coming down the following week. After talking to him he understood and was going to work out the new house "bugs". Thank you for a great stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were the first people to stay in this house, and it was great! We really enjoyed the decor of the house and the large pool. The owners left champagne, which was so nice! It was also a convenient location to the grocery store & shops and a short walk to the beach access. I did find that some people I spoke to at the management company were not the most friendly to speak to. I tried for the entire week to get the main television's code to unlock the parental lock. We could not watch any movies or shows. I've rented houses in Corolla through many of the other management companies in the area and would rate my experience with them higher.

beautiful new house

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival, we went to use the gas grill and not only was the inside discussing, and appeared to have never been cleaned, the flys that were both inside and out of the grill were horrifying. Nor did it ignite. Within 48 hours BR did handle the grill situation by replacing for a new one. Still, that was 2 nights without a grill and our meals were based around it. This should have been looked at and assessed before our arrival. And, I was told multiple times that the homeowners were staying the week before us. Also, the lounge chairs looked beautiful, but they were clearly only plastic. The house could have used extra blankets in each bedroom, and the kitchen wasn't fully stocked with cooking supplies. Other than that, the house looked beautiful and the furniture was comfortable. Location to beach was nice, but backyard neighbors were too closely surrounding in my opinion. I prefer a little more distance.

The main complaint is the A/C went out and had to call twice cause it wasn’t fixed the first time and some trash from maintenance was left behind. Fans in the bedrooms are very loud and squeaky.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had some issues with this house. Most of them were fixed. the biggest complaint was the hot tub. We went with our children and grandchildren so they're very disappointed that they couldn't use it for the week.

Mold in all the bathrooms, live cockroach found. Limited in kitchen supplies.Reality company really didn't care. Besides the automated emails, they did nothing. You can text them 24/7 with issues and concerns as they say, but they do not respond! I will never rent from them again. it's a same because the house was nicely updated in a good spot. The reality company needs to work on their customer service and get good cleaning people.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We all enjoyed our stay at Bella Madrey. The property is conveniently located about one block to the beach. The pool is good sized and so we did not need to use the community pool at all. When we moved in, we found the property to be very clean (inside and outside) and everything was in working order. There are two shopping centers within minutes of the property including a Harris Teeter and a Food Lion. There are a number of restaurants and attractions also nearby. Our three grandkids enjoyed playing putt-putt golf. We have zero complaints about the property. We would definitely stay there if we decide to vacation in Corolla again.

It had every amenity we needed for a family of five. Great communication from Beach Realty before and during our trip. We had a few maintenance issues, and after they were reported someone came the next day. A great community to walk, bike, many friendly families out and about. Did I mention how clean the house was? Very impressed. One of our best vacations overall!

Great week in a beautiful house

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was wonderful from booking to arrival and through our stay. We have rented from other companies in the past and this company was just a great or better. I really appreciated that they sent and email with a suggested list of items to pack (reminded me of a few things we always forget) and we even got into the house early which was amazing! I know this is a new house so there were a couple little things that could be worked on. The bunk beds need to be tightened (not super surprising at the end of summer rental season) and one had a broken ladder rung we only noticed towards the end) the tall dressers in kids rooms should definitely be anchored to the walls and were a bit tippy. Other than that the house and pool were beautiful and comfortable for our three families. The flexibility of tvs in the rooms meant the kids could have some quiet time after hours at the beach or pool. We didn't try the hot tub because it was in the upper 90s all week but I'm sure it was lovely. Also the rental company promptly got us a new propane tank when we told them the spare was empty which was nice. Overall a great experience! Also, the neighborhood is beautiful with new homes and quiet streets. Very close to Harris Teeter, Duck Donuts, and the Timbuktu shopping center.

Contemporary Beach House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Bella Madrey is only 200 yards from the beach and has a terrific pool that can be lit up at night. The hot tub and grill were fully functional as well. The house has a good layout, ideal for 3 families + kids. There is a mini-pool table and 2nd fridge next to the lower entrance that made it easy to store food for quick loading into the cooler for the beach. The house is stocked with items for the pool and beach including chairs, umbrellas, a cart, and a deck box with items like floats and noodles for the pool. The house was in great condition and quite clean. The one negative was that there were multiple lightbulbs out -- one in the stairwell, and a couple outside the house. Also, the cushions and backs for the chairs in the crow's nest area are not secured down to the frame, making it a bit dangerous to sit. But overall, a great rental with all of the amenities and proximity to the beach to help justify the price.

September vacation 2021

First time I dealt with Vrbo. First surprise was the extra fee then it wasn’t a Sunday to Sunday house. Didn’t realize it was till Saturday until that Saturday. I will go back to using the rental agencies in the area.

Beach Realty Horrible!!

We have been coming to the Outer Banks for 30 years. This was the First time we used Beach Realty and WE WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN! The one bedroom was never cleaned the bathroom was filthy. There was a pile of dirty sheets unwashed in the washer machine and dirty sheets in a hall closet???? No idea why. House had many broken items. Many lights were out. We informed them of these items. We were told we could get into the house between 4 & 6. At 6 we still had not received a call so we drove over to the house and 10 minutes later the cleaning people came. We never got into the house until almost 7:00pm. To date we Still NEVER received a call that the house was ready. The house was lovely great location, great design. It was dealing with the management company and the cleaning that really was disappointing.

Great family vacation

The property we chose was in a great location walking distance to the beach and just a short drive to stores and activities. The pool was great and their was plenty of room for us. The property could use a good cleaning in and out but overall it was a nice place to stay.

Lovely house, great location

This house was really nice, tastefully decorated and not overly “beachy” in theme. The location can’t be beat—just a short (less than 5 min) walk around the corner to the beach. The pool is large (though still a little cold in early May) and there are decks off every bedroom. The little crow’s-nest area is great for reading or having coffee. The kitchen has all the basics you’d need, but if you want any specialized equipment you’d have to bring it. The beds were just okay—linens were basic, and the mattresses creaked at the slightest movement and transferred a lot of motion. If you have kids (we didn’t), be aware that the dressers are not secured to the walls and could easily tip over, so keep an eye on your little ones. Wifi worked great. All in all, a relaxing and enjoyable week at Bella Madrey.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I had a wonderful time - one block from beach and pool/hot tub was wonderful. Beach was not crowded which allowed social distancing. House was clean and provided good space for a family of 4.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our first time visiting the Outer Banks and it did not disappoint!
