They gaves us 2 rooms, in 1 room the floor was incline and was very extrange , we ask but they tolds it was like this. Room was 212, and the other room the TV did not function. Restaurant was awesome

Lo bueno: La ubicación es inmejorable. Las habitaciones están muy bien y muy cómodas. Un hotel histórico con gran tradición. Lo malo: el estacionamiento está lejos del hotel, le hace falta algo de mantenimiento para estar en óptimas condiciones pero tampoco es grave. El personal es atento pero no es expedito en las peticiones.

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately due to the age of our building we don't have an onsite car park but we have spaces available to us in a private car park a 5 minute walk from the hotel. We are delighted your enjoyed your stay with us. Happy New Year.

El hotel está muy bien, bien ubicado y cómodo, al baño le faltan detalles como una ducha dirigible, cepillo del wc, etc

Decepción
Lo único bueno es la ubicación. No dispone de aire acondicionado, hay un ventilador pequeño sobre la mesa. La ventana sólo se abate, con lo que no hay renovación de aire y hace un calor sofocante en la habitación. Los suelos tanto de la habitación como del baño se encuentran inclinados. El baño antiquísimo, sólo ponen un champú y gel cada día para las habitaciones dobles. El servicio de té se encuentra dentro del armario junto con la ropa, en algunas habitaciones ni hay. El desayuno es idéntico todos los días. El servicio de habitaciones entra todos los días sin avisar y las habitaciones no disponen de los consabidos cartelitos de "no molestar" y "pueden arreglar habitación".

Our plans changed so we had to make 2 separate 1-night reservations. We asked when checking in for the first night if we could pay for both nights but they couldn’t understand how to do that so we had to pay for the 2nd night when we checked out. Seemed odd they couldn’t accommodate us paying for both bookings at once. They did accommodate us staying on. The same room both nights.

Nice hotel, noisy at night. Strange experience at check in.. checked in and then went out. Came back and was able to access my room. Reception had put me in the wrong room and then removed my stuff whilst I was out. Had to then go to reception to discover all this. New room bigger than original, but all a bit odd and as a lone female traveller felt a bit uncomfortable as my return was at 10pm.

Good central hotel.
We stay here when on business in Cork. Hotel is lovely. Comfortable. Very central and good value generally. I’m not a fan of attic rooms as limited ceiling space. Our room although billed as a de luxe was dark with small window. No heating in the bathroom which was a little chilly in the mornings! Breakfast and dinner nicely cooked and presented. Limited gluten free options though which was a problem for us.

Beautiful hotel. Some lovely added touches in the room. Soft calm decor. All staff helpful and friendly. Everyone greets you as they pass, open doors for you and so welcoming. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Had a steak in restaurant , nicest in a long time. Great stay. Will definitely return

Nice hotel, but poor service
Great location and a nice room. The experience doesn’t reflect the 4 star rating in 2 respects: 1) brown water ran from the bath faucet and, when I rang reception, the receptionist was nonchalant to say the least, and 2) service at breakfast was very unprofessional. I waited 10 minutes to order a cup of coffee, as the waitress was too busy discussing her college course with a colleague within my earshot. When l got to order coffee and it finally arrived, it had spilled into the saucer, and the waitress simply walked off. The restaurant needs better trained staff, and better supervision.

We reserved a Premium Double Room with a Queen Bed that shows on both Expedia and the Imperial websites. We did not receive that room. We received a Classic Room. We did not get what we paid for. We would never have booked the room had we known it was the room we would receive. Did I mention that our thermostat was broken, and we had to call down every time we needed the temperature changed? Also, they do not have a light over the mirror in the bathroom. I will never recommend The Imperial and will think twice before using Expedia for future reservations.

Location is excellent. The front staff are incredibly helpful and aware of what one might need. The hotel is lovely and well maintained. Housekeeping staff were also great. It is difficult to judge the restaurant as we had only one meal, but on the basis of that meal we decided not to have breakfast there, especially since the cost was the highest we say in 4 weeks in Ireland. On the basis on this three days stay we would certainly stay there again.

We had a very nice room. The hotel is gorgeous with beautiful chandeliers. The bar was nice and we had a very good dinner in the restaurant.

Loved the Imperial Hotel
The staff was very helpful. The concierge helped arrange day trips which was great. An older hotel with a lot of history, but did not feel old.
