Home away from home
Little Doe was just as described in the ad and even better! The size was perfect for the 2 of us and our dog. The fenced in yard was very helpful. The neighborhood was quiet and the view of Pikes Peak was amazing. We are hoping to stay here again!

Dirty, neighbors do not want people on property unless you are homeowner. Rusty pots and pans. Dried food on silverware. Mold issues thru out cabin. Spider infested. Harassing neighbor looks in windows and screams at you and is drunk most of the time and threatens to damage your car. Family member got a rash from the bed. Place smells musty. Bathroom is outside with no heat. No access to half of property as in description. Missing keys to property. Police were called 3 times to property for neighbor coming over harassing us. Owner said so what she will not deal with him. Owner is Cheryl Six and Requesting money back.

Lil Doe Cabin
Nice little cabin. I chose this location as it was the closest to my brother’s house. We enjoyed our stay. Some of the directions for the lockbox did not match the instructions given, to open the box we had to push the buttons and not spin the dials? Also it spoke of starting the dishwasher before leaving, there is no dishwasher there, hand wash only. Some of the instructions need to be updated.

Very nice location -near all the fun!
Very nice location. The reason I gave a 4 star is because the hot water (in the only bathroom)did not work- which was very inconvenient. I didn’t have any time to address it because I was so busy with my sons wedding We just had to deal with it. Otherwise lovely

Overall, it was simply okay and probably a bit overpriced. Shower door kept falling off if you opened it too fast. Super tiny bathroom (we are not large people, so for larger folks, beware). Very disappointed that the listing was wrong--it said washer/dryer, but there was no washer /dryer to be had. That was a big deal because packed assuming there was a w/d as listed. Kitchen very small--we have special dietary requirements and have to cook all of our own meals. Dog friendly, I appreciate that, but did not appreciate the clumps of dog hair in the corners. Have stayed at dozens of cabins in Colorado over the years, won't be going back to this one. So, overall, just okay.

We enjoyed the peaceful setting and got to enjoy deer hanging out right outside our window. It is right in town but tucked away on a quiet street overlooking the town below with a beautiful view of the mountains

Charming get away!
This was a small cozy cabin, close and convenient to the main street of Woodland Park! It was clean, well stocked and beds were comfortable! Great view and nice visits from a friendly herd of deer! Perfect for a short get away! Great hiking just short distances away! I would recommend it and hope to come again sometime in the future!

GREAT VIEW! Lots of wildlife to see…
The cabin is located in a very nice location and the view is breathtaking and fit our family of 3 okay; however we had 2 guests over for Thanksgiving and it was way too crowded as only 3 people could fit at the table comfortably. The kitchen is extremely small and the main heater is in the floor between the two bedroom doors which will burn your feet if you walk on it so bring slippers. Also, the Cabin could use a little renovation in the shower caulking area and a new Mattress in the 2nd bedroom as the Full mattress is awful - good thing it was only our 11 y/o that slept on it. The cleaning was mediocre when we checked in, and we realize this had nothing to do with the owners. The property is BEAUTIFUL! We did have so much fun and enjoyed ourselves immensely! We will be back to this area again next year. Lastly, the neighbors and town people are also very friendly!

Family trip to Colorado
Family trip to ColoradoWas very comfortable with great weather, great accommodations, great view of pikes Peak and wonderful proximity to all of the things to do to the north and south. Also very well communicated with the immediate community for shopping at Walmart, city market, natural grocer. We highly recommend it and would go again if we find ourselves in the area.

Woodland Park Little Doe Cabin
There were both pros and cons for this property, but by far more pros than cons! It was very clean, spacious, well-stocked, with a good location, amazing view of Pikes Peak and a lot of browsing deer for our entertainment. It was nice having the garage within a few steps of the cabin with a half bath and washer and dryer. In terms of cons, there was no A/C. While that may not be an issue for some, we live in Louisiana, so we are used to the heat; however, we were looking forward to escaping the heat, but Colorado happened to have record-high heat the week we were there. A couple of small window units would have been incredible! The bathroom sink would not drain, in spite of purchasing and trying Drano. We had hot water issues. Hot water was hit or miss the whole time. Also, it would be helpful to have an instruction card about how to work the shower knobs! Not only are the hot-cold knobs backwards, but it takes time to figure out how to adjust the water temperature (when you do have hot water, that is!). These are all such easy fixes to help vacationers enjoy this nice cabin to the max!

Beautiful mountain getaway
My family needed a weekend getaway after social distancing for over a year. This was the perfect trip! Little Doe Cabin has amazing views and is very charming. We loved being able to bring our dog with us, too. The neighborhood had lots of deer wandering around, which made it feel very peaceful. Woodland Park overall is a great place to go to relax and admire the view of Pike’s Peak.

This place was a nice get away, had all the things we needed. The large windows were great to watch the snow fall. Colorado overall was the most beautiful place I’ve ever visited. Will definitely bring my family to this place next time!

Will not return
This cabin was beautiful, until......we sat in the recliner or the blue chair! Yikes. The recliner is nearly broken with little padding left. The first 3 days we got little to no sleep. The mattresses are so old you can feel the individual springs. (Today's mattresses have wrapped springs so they have to be really old which is unhealthy to sleep on as well as broken down). We did not enjoy our days due to lack of sleep until we spent $50 each on memory foam mattress toppers. We would have taken turns sleeping on the couch so that at least one of us got a good night's sleep except that there was no full size couch and the two love seats which were comfortable for sitting could not accommodate a full size body. Yes we know that this was stated in the listing but if the beds had been better quality there would have been no need to wish for a full couch or better recliner. The bed complaint was mentioned several times in previous reviews so we truly believed that it surely must have been addressed. We were dead wrong. And then we learn that the owners have built a brand new cabin next door. So there was definitely money in the budget for a new cabin over addressing customer complaints in the existing cabin. On the positive side. The views were beautiful but there are many other cabin rentals in the area with beautiful views as well. In summation, we are very sorry to say that we will not consider this cabin in our future visits. We do not recommend this cabin until there is proof things actually get addressed.

Great Location
This cabin has a great location and great views. Watch out for deer, they are everywhere. It is a little small but for two people it was perfect. We will surely stay here again. One slight problem was parking and backing down the street to get out. Don't turn around in anyone's driveway.

Cute cabin with Gorgeous View!
While not luxurious digs (and not expected for the value price!), this cute little cabin is cozy and includes everything you need for a trip to Woodland Park. There is a lovely gorgeous view of Pikes Peak from the yard. We especially enjoyed seeing a mama doe with TWIN fawns wander through the yard one morning during our stay!

Overall nice for a short stay - some isssues
Cut cabin. Overall nice for a quick two night stay. Things to note: no hot water in the shower, parking was a bit confusing with the property being built nextdoor (we didn't want to bock their driveway), without ac temperature control was difficult at night (probably not an issue in the winter), even though it's on a dead end street noise from traffic and dogs will keep you up at night.

Woodland Park - Doe Cabin
Nice but worn. Furniture needs replacing; two old loveseats do not equal one comfortable couch. Shower controls are installed backwards. Had I not read the comments in the little guest book I might never have figured it out. There was construction right next door forcing my wife and I to walk through mud and therefore tracking it into the house. There were only two double size beds - one of which was terribly uncomfortable. The size of the beds were not mentioned in the ad; if they were I never would have stayed here. The guest book also mentioned that some of the dishes / pots were not clean. My wife and I noticed this as well, in fact she had to clean one before using. Lighting was dim making it hard to read or sew. Dead flies all around the windows. Final negative comment is that the fireplace lighters barely worked and their were only ten matches. Finally went to Walmart to get more of each. The view from the cabin towards Pikes Peak was beautiful. This could be such a nice cozy little retreat if the owners invested in some repairs and upgrades.

The home is as pictured online, including the two small couches and landscaping that lends itself to making mud when there is snow or rain. The listing also states there are two double and two twin beds in the home. We apologize if any of this came as a surprise to you. A plumber has been scheduled to look at the shower knobs. Dishwashing is the responsibility of our guests, and we apologize if housekeeping missed finding any dirty dishes left by previous guests. Exactly as described!
This was the perfect little cabin for a Spring Break trip for us (two 50-somethings, a college freshman, and 2 dogs). The cabin is located away from the "hustle and bustle" but it was a short walk to downtown. We used the cabin as a "home base" to explore the surrounding area. The unique location gave us quick access to activities ranging from "very touristy" to "sheer isolation". We found so many great dog-friendly hiking trails and attractions within 30 minutes of the cabin that it was impossible to visit them all.

Great views, Cute cabin, needs some TLC
This is a very cute cabin. It is close to everything in Woodland Park with an awesome view of Pikes Peak. Whoever is maintaining this place, is not doing a good job keeping up with the day to day cleanliness. The first morning we were there, I wanted to fix breakfast. As I pulled out dishes and silverware, many of them were dirty. There was a coffee maker on the counter which did not work. There is a book on the coffee table where people write their opinions about their stay. The person that had written in the book before me told them the coffee maker did not work. So evidently they were not concerned about giving renters things that they claimed they had.

Cozy, clean, and a great fireplace!
We really liked the fireplace, the views from the windows, and on our last morning we saw a doe! We didn't like that the bed was only a full size and was uncomfortable, as we were unable to get a good night's sleep each night...other items was that the coffee pot did not work, were unable to get an internet connection, and would recommend additional bath and hand towels. It would be nice to have a full size couch in front of the fireplace to enjoy it together. Reminders to add to the website would be to bring your own firewood, plus a list of condiments that were already provided in the frig. Overall, the place was very clean and provided almost all of the kitchen and bath items one would need - we sure had a great weekend!

Idyllic Cottage Stay
We like to vacation as a family. Mom is 82 now and my siblings and I are in our fifties or sixties. This little cottage in Woodland Park proved to be absolutely perfect for us. Sleep late and wake up to the beautiful view of Pikes Peak from the living room windows. Take a short day trip to Garden of the God's or Manitou Springs and return "home" at the end of the day to enjoy our own cooking. Table games and conversation in the evening while watching the sun set in the west. The cottage came well equipped with everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time together. Very highly recommended!

The cozy cabin is well named
My husband and I were so looking forward to our weeklong stay at the cozy cabin Sept, 16 to 22. We found the cabin to be as darling as the online pictures had us believe. We loved everything about it. It was equipped with everything necessary. The view was dynamic of the mountains so close! Sitting on the deck was amazing. The furnishings were so cute and the kitchen and dining table were perfect. The beds were comfortable too. I sprained my ankle a day and a half before we took of in the car to come to Woodland Park, and my husband had a terrible back/disc problem the day we started out. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short by 3 days and come home for medical care. we couldn't really walk around to do anything so the cabin was a beautiful haven to be "stuck in."

Wonderful home away from home
This cabin home was perfect for our visit to Colorado. In town but in a very quiet and safe neighborhood and you still feel as if you are tucked away all alone on a mountainside. Fully stocked with everything you need. Great view of Pikes Peak from the living room and deck. Outside deck is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, take in the view and breath some fresh air. Nice that it is dog friendly too. We really appreciated that there was a great selection of games and puzzles at the cabin. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, cooking on the grill and playing games in the evenings. Thank you for allowing us to be guests in your cabin and we hope to visit again.

Fantastic getaway

The location of the cabin was perfect and the view was breath taking.
Town was literally walking distance away. Pikes peak and Garden of the Gods is only a 20 minute drive. Our stay at the cabin was very relaxing and convent. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Nice and quiet, beautiful view of Pike's.
Nice and bright, my wife likes the sunshine. Furnace definitely cranked out the heat though I have never seen one like that. Small herd of deer in the am around 6:30, nice to sit and watch and have coffee. Saw Bald Eagle, lot's of deer and lot's of dinosaurs. No bear or other carnivores. Maybe next time. Thanks for the stay. We will have to come back as we were unable to make it to the top of Pikes from the weather the previous weekend. I have not been up to the top since I was maybe 10. Now we have grandchildren who need the trip. Would rent again. Please check out the shower faucet though. It tends to walk counter-clockwise during a shower towards hot unless you monitor it. Thank you for your feed back Tom. There certainly is an abundance of wildlife to see in this area. So glad you got to witness some of it. Please come back and see us then there is no snow on the Peak so you can get up there. We have had maintenance fix that handle in the shower. So sorry for that inconvenience.
