Our family of five (2 adults, 3 kids age 14, 11 and 9) had an amazing stay at The Beach House. The property is exactly as listed, and more. Vered communicated with me directly prior to arrival on the VRBO app, and was quick to respond to all of my questions. Lee was the caretaker/concierge who introduced herself via WhatsApp once we arrived in Costa Rica, and responded to me usually within minutes. The property is immaculate, and felt very luxurious. It was very hot while we were there, and the A/C was welcome after some time in the sun. The water cooler is a nice bonus, but I would recommend a mat of some sort in front of it as the tile is slick if it gets wet at all and I did slip and fall while there (my fault). Maria was the housekeeper who came in each morning and was friendly and helpful. She does not speak English but it was not a problem at all with Google translate. Mauricio tends the pool and house maintenance, is super friendly and again, quick to fix anything - we had a toilet that was not working and he was at the property to fix it within 5-10 minutes. The afternoon before we left the entire street lost water, and Lee and Mauricio were there problem solving and making a plan for the house if they couldn't get it back on, and communicated that well to us. We did get water back, later that afternoon/early evening. We had been at the beach or in the pool all day and it did not disrupt. There was a security guard stationed right outside the property on the private street, and it helped us feel very safe. In the evening if I was out on the patio late reading, it felt completely safe. Banana Beach is right next door, I would say American prices but delicious food. Surfboard, boogie board and rash guard rentals there also. The only thing I would change (and it is so minor) is the lighting at night facing the beach. We had multiple people approach the home thinking it was a restaurant because of the lighting. Not a big deal and the lighting wasn't bad sitting on the patio, it just seemed to attract passerby. The pool was wonderful and so clean. The tray of fresh fruit and bottle of wine upon arrival was also a nice touch. Well done. We didn't want to leave and hope to return soon!
