"My second time staying. This time the sweet had a beautiful expanded and modern kitchen. However, virtually no dishes, pots or pans and no cutlery. Needless to say it was a beautiful kitchen, but not as much use except to keep things in the fridge. Manager should at least add some cutlery."

"We had a lovely stay at this hotel. All of the staff were very kind and helpful. The gardens were beautiful. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. "The Haar Rooms is a wonderful small inn. The rooms are large and nicely decorated. The included breakfast was excellent. And, it is very conveniently located a hundred yards or so from The Old Course and just a short walk to all of the restaurants, shops and historic sites in St. Andrews. It is also reasonably priced compared to the larger golf hotels nearby. I highly recommend it."

"The hotel is a bit of a walk if you don't have a vehicle. Price wise, it was on the high side so you don't get outstanding value. There is extra charges for breakfast, checking in early as well so it just felt like for the price that you don't get a lot."
