Condo was very nice and clean. I've stayed many times on East Side Drive and prefer this location with a beautiful view of the lighthouse and Assateague Island. Having two balconies is always a plus. We had wonderful weather and enjoyed the beach as always. A few things I would have really liked was a bathroom on the 3rd floor and the steamer pot didn't have the rack inside of it. The television in twin bedroom didn't have cable. Overall our stay was nice and relaxing.
The ponies are always wonderful to see.

Our family has rented vacation homes in several beach destinations including Duck & Corolla, NC, Ocean City (MD and NJ), and Rehoboth, DE. Based on those experiences, here is our review of this Chincoteague townhouse.Highlights•The view is outstanding one of the best features of this property.•At night you can see the lighthouse flashing every 5 seconds, which is a unique and memorable detail.•The dock is a great amenity if you bring a kayak or boat.•The loft stairs add a fun touch for kids and extra space for families.•Linens and towels were included, which made packing much easier.•The location on the island is excellent—quiet, scenic, and convenient.•Overall, we loved the space, the location, and especially the beautiful view.Areas for Improvement•The top-floor balcony has no electricity, and no flashlights or lanterns were provided, making it difficult to use in the evening.•No blinds or curtains on the back bedroom, back porch, or front door, which affects privacy and comfort.•The kitchen is well-stocked with pots and pans, but could use more utensils and basic cooking gadgets.•There is no guest book for travelers to share recommendations with future guests.•Unlike other rentals we’ve experienced, there were no beach items provided such as umbrellas, chairs, or boogie boards.Overall: This townhouse offers an incredible setting with unbeatable views. With a few thoughtful additions, it could provide an even more comfortable & convenient.

Great waterfront property

Loved waking up to the sun over the water, lots of water birds and loved falling asleep to the lighthouse beam. This location is PRIME, and we made friends with the neighbors who took us out in their boat clamming. Biked to the beaches, ice cream, tacos, minigolf…. Just al all around great stay. We will be back!

Charming\Fun\Spacious

We had a great time. Duck Harbor at Water's edge is a spacious house, clean, great views, and with easy access to the water and downtown. I would definitely come back to stay again. I'd have no issue with recommending it to others. Some items for improvement/suggestions: (1) We found dirty dishes, plates, bowls, and cooking implements, as soon as we grabbed them. I'd recommend that your cleaning staff wash (in the dishwasher) plates, bowls, or have your last tenant leave things in the dish washer for the cleaning staff to put away. (2) As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by flies. Their numbers grew as the days went on. I would expect the cleaning crew should have noticed them(?). (3) The house could use a few more hooks in order to hang jackets, etc (4) Maybe put in a small dish drain so that pots and pans can dry? (5) While communication is key, I'd recommend consolidating the email and texting communication from the management company. I get enough texts and emails from work and don't need more when I'm on vacation. (6) Lastly, an 11am checkout would be great. We brought so much gear (a boat, beach stuff, fishing gear, clothing, food etc) that even after getting up at 6am, making breakfast for everyone, packing, getting the boat out of the water, we made our 10am departure with only a minute to spare. It was a mad scramble. Hope to see you next year. George-

Mom’s 80th birthday

My sister and I brought my mom for her 80th birthday to Chincoteague. It was on her bucket list. We had a great time. The location was perfect on the water! Thank you. We will be back.

Peaceful getaway

We loved our stay! Sitting on the back porch, overlooking the water was our favorite part! We were fortunate to see the ponies every day! The location is perfect. There is a very short drive to the shops and restaurants, but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. Highly recommended!

Great location

The location was great! Unfortunately we had a few hiccups A/C wasn’t working and thankfully only needed last 3 days but it got hot in the upstairs. Mattresses need some upgrades to be sure and the loft is extremely hard for adults to get in and out of. We did love the location and view.

Scenic stay in Chincoteague

Great location...scenic view of lighthouse from the deck...clean, comfy, nicely decorated & well supplied...communication was excellent...neighbors were very friendly...enjoyed our stay immensely!!!
