Great location and communication, property needs some maintenance but owner was responsive

In need of repairs, several electrical sockets were damaged, the light fixture in living area was missing, no lights outside for steps, step hand railings had exposed nails posing a hazard, coffee table was metal with a very sharp edge exposed, and the property flooded twice while we were there due to rain coming in from maybe the ground, ceiling fan in one bedroom very out of balance and made loud noises if it was higher than low. Property not good for children, too many sharp sea shell items every wear. We had to sweep when we go there and found clothing from the prior tenants in several rooms. Owner was very receptive to our comments, and sent us a partial refund -- but we suggested this unit should not be rented for a while due to the electrical issues and the amount of water it took in -- maybe a mold issue

Family Vacay_June 2025

We arrived on a Sunday night and checked out on Friday. Our stay at Blue Town Tidehome was incredible to say the least. We found the property far exceeded our expectations. So much was included with the property, including lawn chairs, kayaks, boogie boards, bikes, etc. The communication with the owners was excellent and very timely. We would definitely recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

Very clean. And cute. I would come back but without small or teenage children. I should of looked at pictures better there are small breakables all over house and pictures hanging from tiny nails on the walls. i had the kids sit on the couch anytime they where in the house in fear they would break something. Other then that we had a wonderful stay.

Multigenerational Family

We booked this house a little later than we wanted and really got so lucky! The place is perfect for our family needs: elderly parents, teens, extended family. There is a room on the first floor which is perfect for my parents, as it has a bathroom and they didn't have to go up/down many stairs. The upstairs bedrooms are comfortable and the bathroom is spacious (A+ for great shower pressure!). Everything was clean and organized. There are many things in the shed for your beach trips, so no need to worry there. The location was great; a quiet street close to shops, restaurants, trails, and the beach. It was our first time on the island and I can't wait to come back to it and the house! Communication with the owner was fantastic. I messaged her before and during our visit and she replied in a timely manner with a great attitude. Overall, a great experience; we highly recommend it!

Gem of a house, great location

This house turned out to be perfect for all of us (6 adults, 2 kids). We like to to bike ride and it is in a great spot, by a road that leads right to the town wildlife loops. It is easy to get to, and we loved being able to ride our bikes over to the ice cream shops (which are notorious for being hard to find parking during prime ice cream time). The home was very clean and charmingly decorated in lots of beach decor. Plenty of space for everyone and the common area had lots of seating. Definitely would stay again, and highly recommend!

Exceptional Location with a very attentive host!

We had a wonderful experience staying at this location! The host was incredibly responsive and attentive, always ready to help with any questions or needs. We encountered a small issue during our stay, but the host immediately stepped in to ensure everything was resolved quickly. Thanks to their prompt attention, we continued to have an amazing stay. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and worry-free getaway!

This place truly does accommodate a large group, plenty of room to spread out… and all the amenities for the beach and bikes were also key, especially for teenagers who are always looking for something to do. Five Stars all around.

Exceptional Stay in an Exceptional home

This home was perfection from start to finish. The Burton family has put a lot of time and love into this home. As a party of 6 with 3 teenage boys we had everything we needed plus some. Kayaks, bikes, stocked kitchen, plenty of space and comfortable sleeping arrangements. The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed. We were just off the main road but away from the crowds enough to make enjoyable. Everything was easy to get to and the boys loved riding the bikes all over the island. We even got to see a rocket launch! I can’t recommend this location enough and will absolutely be back. Thank you for making our vacation exceptional!!

Birthday bash

This townhome was perfect for our family as we celebrated my big 50. I wanted all my children and grandchildren around me and Chincoteague Island had plenty to get into. The first floor master bed and bath was perfect and my granddaughter loved going up and down the steps. She also has 4 year old knees! She cried when we left because she wanted to stay at "the blue house". Kaylea was an awesome and attentive host. You won't have any regrets booking a stay at the Blue Tide Townhome.
