Beautiful Location

This is a very beautiful location. Unfortunately, one of the beds is without a cover, which we didn't realize before arriving. There were a few blankets in the closet which we washed ourselves since they were not clean upon arrival to use since there wasn't a cover. There was a smell when we arrived, like cigarette smoke, but I also did a bit of a clean up when we arrived to get the place smelling better. This home doesn't come with coffee, or anything extra, like most other properties (and we have traveled extensively throughout the U.S.) we have stayed in. We had a few issues we needed to communicate with the management office, and they were very responsive. But, it is an absolutely beautiful location, and the views are just the perfect getaway. It is a place to fall in love with despiter the few hospitality issues.

Beautiful!

No surprises with this property! I have high standards when it comes to cleanliness and this property exceeded my expectations. My family travels a lot; this property is top of our list! Simply beautiful!! I loved the location. Never stayed on the sound side before. Loved it! Was so peaceful. Actually prefer it to oceanfront, after this visit. The nighttime view of Main Street was an unexpected treat. Loved watching the different water sports and wildlife on/by the water. When in the living/dining room it’s as if you’re on a boat, you’re that on top of the water. The pier was wonderful to crab off of and to watch the sunset. The kitchen was fully stocked. One of the best I’d seen. Even the storage closet had a lot of extra items to compliment the stay. Parking was wonderful; right beside the house. Just a short drive to the beach and all area attractions. Overall, this owner went above and beyond! 10/10!! Just a wonderful property! *The only downside we had (NOT at fault of the owner or rental company) was that in the evenings some restaurants on Main Street played live music. This was fun while awake, but not so fun when trying to go to sleep. If something like that would bother you, bring a sleep machine.

We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful little town In this very nice property.The location was so perfectly situated on the island across the way from the little town on the water. Beautiful views just had a great time there with every convenience check in was so easy I would rent this property again thank you so much.

Convenient location

House is nicely appointed and faces the water with a sitting balcony. It sits on a peninsula so its quiet. Must walk up the stairs to living area and more stairs to bedrooms. Linens and paper/cleaning supplies were skimpy and the cleanliness could have been better.

Perfect Vacation Home

Beautiful location and home! Would definitely book this home again when visiting Chincoteague! My family and I enjoyed everything this home had to offer! Spacious, clean, and every amenity you could imagine! Fishing and crabbing right in the back yard! Check in process was smooth and easy. The perfect getaway vacation home!

Beautiful views & property

This was our first trip to Chincoteague and Captain's Rest was a beautiful property for us to enjoy the community and views. We loved getting to see Main Street from almost all the windows in the house and enjoyed the home, too. It's well stocked with almost everything you could need. Our 3-year-old loved the toys in the "playroom" as we called it, and we all appreciated the beach chairs for our day trip to the beach - where we even got to see some of the famous ponies. Plus, the home had good Internet connectivity for those few work calls we had to take and of course, for streaming TV. We can't wait to visit again!

Perfect Getaway!

We had the best time at Captain’s Rest! The property was beautiful, comfortable, and super clean. Our favorite part was the amazing views from all the decks. We saw dolphins and all sorts of wildlife every morning and evening. We would love to come back! It’s a gem!

Beautiful Condo

Beautiful condo, very clean. Kitchen was well stocked. Only a couple suggestions-add a TV to the double single room and put garbage cans in all bedrooms. Really enjoyed out stay.

Exceeded Expectations

Our townhome lived up to its description and then some. It was sparkling clean. We like to cook and eat in and It had the best equipped kitchen of any condo/townhome we have ever rented. Location-wise it was close to everything we wanted to see and do.

Sheets and towels package

We ordered the sheets and towel package for our stay and we figured that the beds would have been made and the towels hung in the bathrooms, but none of that was done. Plus, upon leaving, we had to strip the linens from the beds and gather up all the towels and place then in a bag provided. My complaint is, if I paid for linen service then why did my family and I have to make and then strip down our own beds.

Great stay

We loved our Mother’s Day weekend getaway. It was the off season and we ended up in a Terrible storm. The house was perfect for us. The only downfall was the fans not working in the two bedrooms.
