Blue Pearl Cottage was a pearl!!! Our stay was wonderful. Loved the vintage vibe of the home and everything was clean and neat when we got there and when we left. We will definately be back!!!

Great home base for beach week

We had a wonderful stay at Blue Pearl. The house was exactly as advertised. Kitchen was well equipped, and the location was close to everything. Property management office was very responsive.

I suppose the "supply your own toilet paper" thing threw me for a loop. Toilet paper?? I understand no paper towel if dish cloths are provided...but toilet paper?? In 65 yrs, I never stayed at a place I had to supply my own TP. She informed me it was in the contract but I certainly did not see it. Perhaps in tiny print somewhere...We paid to rent towels and sheets, neither of which were at the home when we arrived. When called and questioned, we were told to come and get them ourselves. When we went back to management, the receptionist was on the phone with another customer. We only wanted our towels and sheets we had rented (and a roll of TP). Instead of asking to place the person on the phone on hold for 60 seconds while she handed our sheets and towels to us, she rudely made us stand there for 15 minutes while she went into detail about several things with the person on the phone. She appeared quite rude that we had asked for toilet paper, towels and sheets. Someone "forgot" to leave them at the home. The property itself was nice and clean. The property next door was extremely swampy which created a total infestation of small mosquitos(?) which quickly invaded a car or house. By the 2nd morning of a 3 night stay, the coffee maker stopped working and only produced a small amount of "sludge".Thank goodness for the screened in porch or it would have been impossible to be outside even 5 minutes with the bugs. The location of the house was nice except for the swamp next door.

Beach Stay

The property is close to all amenities and to Assateague Island for the beach. There are very little cable channels and no smart TV, so it’s good to have tablets if that’s important to you.

Quiet wooded convenient location on Chincoteague

Quiet, wooded lot with feeling of privacy. Conveniently located near downtown Chincoteague, restaurants and other sites of interest, including the beach, Assateague Island, NASA Visitor Center, etc. Liked being here just before summer began. Would be good to tell visitors if had not been rented recently that the initial sulfur smell of the water upon arrival dissipates quickly.

It is a great location; we had ample room for everyone. The ensuite bath has a slow draining sink, which might need attention. The screened in porch is nice; could use a good cleaning, but overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful island Retreat

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is spacious, bright and very comfortable. The beds were also comfortable. Loved the screen porch ms spent a lot of time out there. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment for preparing meals. The outside deck area could have been swept of cobwebs. There was also no outdoor working faucet which would be useful for washing feet to minimizing dragging sand in house. The location was convenient to everything, lovely marsh and lighthouse view at the end of the street. Very quiet and private, we had two cute deer visit the yard one morning and it was fun to see. The island has a lot to offer, great food choices. The national park and beach were by far the star attraction. The beach is fabulous and very easy to get to. Would recommend location for a relaxing vacation.

Worked Well for a Family of 4

This was a good fit for 2 adults, 2 kids under 5, and a crate trained dog not requiring a fence. Cleanliness could have been improved and kitchen gear was used hard. 5 minutes to anywhere on the island by car but not super walkable to town bc of narrow streets. Great escape for us for a week. The app was also helpful.

A Pearl of a rental

We love this house. It's so comfortable, the big windows let in so much light and natural beauty, the location is great, and it's well equipped. We'll be back for another week in August and can't wait!

Perfect getaway

The property was perfect for our needs, the AC was very comfortable. Beds were comfortable. The one sliding door was difficult to open and close. Overall a very nice property

Perfect quiet location

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. We had unfortunate weather that kept us at the house for a lot of our time - but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the trip. The screened in porch gave us a nice spot to sit and watch the rainstorms. When it wasn’t raining, the wildlife right in the backyard was fun to watch. I was also blown away by the view of the lighthouse just past the driveway. Overall we had a wonderful stay. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Lovely property.... enjoyed the openness of the house.... was difficult to prevent tracking into home because of lack of stones in driveway. The drainage ditch was quite close and unmarked at the entrance of the driveway especially in the DARK . There is no marker nor Light! Please replace the broom and vacuum as they were sub optimal . Had to use hand broom and dustpan.

Family time

Very nice screened in porch, comfortable beds, conveniently located to the beach, the pictures don’t do it justice but lots of ants, no blender or dishwasher or DVD player and junkie furniture falling apart.
