The reservation was for 8, but my fiancé got cold feet and called off our wedding, so I stayed at the condo because it was non-refundable. It’s a comfortable and quiet condo, kitchen well equipped except for a wine opener. I’ll reserve again in the future. There is a slight mildew odor in the main bathroom, hence the fan stayed on.

The property was nice. The key was not were they stated it would be. I had to find it under the front entry mat. The toilet in the master bathroom didnt fill with water so we only had one working bathroom. But chelan was great.

Nice location and did the job

The condo is in a great location and has great views. Easy access to downtown and great winery on the condo side of the lake. Overall quiet and fine for a quick stay. However, if someone loud is above you it’s very evident. Floor was dirty enough to make socks black and kids hands black. We swept and rewashed glasses. Maintenance guy stopped by mid stay to look at microwave handle while we were trying to get kids to nap. Some great wildlife to watch outside with quail and rabbits. Overall the place is good for what it is, but it seems like we may have missed a cleaning before our stay.

gorgeous view of the lake out the patio window. Quiet, Comfortable place to stay.

We thought the property was pretty well maintained, with minor issues of cleanliness (dusty vents and dust bunnies around the bedroom) and a broken sink faucet. However, mostly clean and comfortable. if you want to have walkability to town, you could do it, but it would involve walking along a busy highway with no sidewalk for safety, so not really a walk friendly place to stay.

Decent place for a getaway

Property was light and airy. The property had been updated but workmanship was DYI. The rooms seemed clean until you looked under beds or checked your feet after walking barefoot. Found popcorn under master bed, flooring install in hallway and bathroom had gaps, found a game piece in living area but no games provided, door knob loose in another bedroom, Patio furniture had a damaged chair, marks on walls, light out in hood over stove, and kitchen supplies placed randomly throughout the kitchen cupboards. Provided enough random cleaning supplies but no broom, mop, or vacuum to clean up dining area. The first evening the tenets upstairs had a dog that they left that we could here whine, plus we could here them using the bathroom throughout the late evening. If you want to stay in a basic property this will fit your needs.

Stay away

We chose homelessness over staying at this property. Once entering the property our entire family was taken back by the foul odor. We immediately noticed some very poor patchwork where there had been water leaking through the ceiling. Within minutes of being in the place my son began physically reacting to whatever was in the condo and we left the property immediately. Our obvious concern was mold. This alone was reason enough for us not to stay there but that was only the beginning. If Chelan has a seedy area, this place is in it. And the interior was dirty, trash under the beds, stained sheets and the view was not at all what was pictured. The walkout back was very small with an unfenced sharp drop off. Whatever view there might have been was blocked by trees. The biggest disappointment was spending over 4 hours on the phone with many different people from both VRBO and Vacasa and getting told one thing by one person and then something else by the next person. At the end of the day, we were not made right and the property manager brushed aside the concerns for my son's health. I ended up having to pay the owners rent and then another $500 for the only hotel room left in Chelan because after spending all this time on the phone, it was too late to drive back to Seattle. I'm not sure which experience was worse, the lousy condo or the poor customer service that followed.

Dirty place with a hole in the ceiling

Our scheduled stay is from 7/3 to 7/6. After discovering a series of unbearable issues, we left on July 4th. I understand there could be unexpected issues that occur to the property. However, the ones we experienced were either issues that the property manager was aware of but failed to inform us (such as the big hole in the ceiling) or issues that he was not aware because he failed to clean/inspect the unit before our arrival (such as the dirty dishes in the dishwasher). I wish I could upload pictures to show you all the big hole in the ceiling and dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Thank you Vacasa Management for ruining our family vacation. This is our first time and also last time booking our stay from you. 1. Upon arrival at our rental unit, we noticed there is a big hole in the ceiling across the entire foyer area by the entrance. Insulation is exposed and poking out from the hole. After talking to the property manager on the phone, we then learned that there was a leakage in the pipe in the ceiling, and they fixed the leakage but the drywall repair won’t be completed until July 7th (after our scheduled stay). 2. We then found water dripping from the hole in the ceiling that we discovered earlier and started pooling on the floor. When my husband attempted to check the leaking pipe to make sure the leaked water is not sewage, we found out there is a foil tray hidden above the insulation and the water is leaking out of that tray. 3. One hour after contacting the central office, the property manager arrived. He checked the hole and the tray, and he insisted there is no active leaking. Apparently during this one hour of waiting, the water did mysterically stop leaking at some point. He then admitted that the foil tray was put up there to capture the water when they first found out about the leaking pipe. He also said that he didn’t come to check after the plumber fixed the leaking pipe, which I still don’t believe, and blamed on the plumber not emptying and taking away the tray. Per our request, the property manager did take the foil tray down and empty out the water, which would have been a safety hazard above our head. 4. The whole unit is filthy. We later discovered there was still dirty dishes in the dishwasher, and it was stinky inside. There was black moldy ring in both toilets. My son’s feet turned black after running around bare feet in the living room for half an hour.
