Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The back patio had several boards damaged and sitting on the deck, the house has very strange and concerning art work in it, made it feel more like a social experiment than a nice lake house. We rent in the Lookout 12 times per year, I would never come back to this house, all the others have been amazing.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at The Lookout this Easter weekend. I knew Id be renting a beautiful home with a beautiful view but got so much more. The community held events the whole weekend for the kids and adults, everyone we encountered in the neighborhood was super friendly, and it was quiet and cozy the whole time. It was a family getaway that both my husband were actually able to relax.

Perfect Summer Getaway

Stayed here for a week with another couple, our son and dog, and it was perfect! Kitchen was fully stocked, beds were very comfortable, some travel shampoo/conditioner was provided as well. AC was working which was great since it was in the 90's while we were there. The misters on the deck also made it very cool and comfortable - that was our favorite place to hang out! The hot tub was cleaned daily which we liked, 2 pools in the neighborhood were great for kids and easy to walk to, the house also had pool towels provided. There is a little dog area up the street as well for potty breaks. About a 5 min drive from the center of Chelan & was close to the wineries on the Manson side so it made getting to everything really convenient! We had our 6 mo. old sleep in the front bedroom next to the kitchen but with a sound machine on in the room he slept just fine and wasn't woken up by cooking or the tv on. We loved being able to take the shuttles down to the beachfront - there was an area to rent jet skis/boats, kids play area, and dog dock. Plus there were tons of places to sit that had umbrellas in the grass & they had pretty nice portable bathrooms there. If I'm being super picky the only thing I'd say is that the grill was not the best and we had some trouble controlling the temperature but it did an okay job. We were so sad to leave this spot and will definitely be back!

My family has been coming here for the past two years and we’ve always looked forward to our trips, but this time I left feeling let down.I’ll take responsibility for the view. I didn’t realize the water view only shows in the winter when the trees are bare. That one’s on me for not noticing in the photos.The real issues were with the condition and upkeep of the house. The most concerning was the blood on the stairs leading from the hot tub up to the house. It looked like someone had cut themselves and it was never cleaned. The hot tub itself wasn’t fully cleaned either. Inside, the house just felt neglected. The kitchen needed a serious deep clean — every mug had chips, and the surfaces and appliances didn’t feel fresh. The bedroom carpets were stained and needed a scrubbing. One of the bathroom lights wasn’t working.The back deck was also disappointing. The furniture was dirty, the area hadn’t been cleaned, and the fireplace was broken, which made it feel like a space we couldn’t even use. Overall, it just didn’t feel welcoming or maintained.Beyond the house, even the amenities weren’t up to the usual standard. When we went down to the beach, the stench was overwhelming. Staff told us it was from a dead fish in the marina. When we asked if anything was going to be done, we were told it wasn’t their job. I get that most of the staff are high school or college kids, but they should have at least called a supervisor to figure out a solution for guests.Altogether, this stay fell well below the standard we’ve come to expect at The Lookout.

Things seemed like they needed updating or repair, the dryer didn't dry clothes, the BBQ didn't ignite correctly, the fire table was broken. Also, disappointing to find out the garage is not available only we arrived. We had planned to store or utility trailer and large dog kennel, but had to leave then outside. Also, their "art" was "interesting"....

We had a little baby with us and they even had crib’s available for a small fee. Only thing I’d mention is the 3rd bedroom has a sliding barn door and you could hear everything going in kitchen and living space which was problematic at times since that’s were we had the baby. We’ll be back for sure!

Short Getaway

This was our first time booking at Lookout Cottages. My husband and I, along with our dog spent 3 nights at Hello Sunshine in Mid May. We were very happy with the home's open and airy layout. The home location, back deck, and especially the hot tub are private, which was very important to us. We enjoyed an afternoon at the nearby Vin Du Lac winery, where we were able to bring our dog while sipping wine outdoors. Our stay was a much needed relaxing short getaway!

Lovely stay

Amazing stay & great weather. Lovely, pet friendly house with great views & amenities. Was actually nice to be in chelan off season when it is less busy The only reason we gave it a 4/5 was because of the following: - the weather was lovely but we were unable to sit outside on the deck as cushions still stored away for the season for all furniture - the front bedroom has the neighbors air con unit right outside it which was pretty noisy at night - the hottub was looked after daily which is awesome but would be great to let guests know as this was unexpected - privacy blinds would be nice on the sides of the house facing the garage apartment & in the apartment too. Also think it should be clearer on the booking site that this apartment can be booked separately but can use the same sauna & hottub facilities as the house. Thank you Tina

Cute House and Great Neighborhood!

Love this neighborhood and the proximity to town and wineries! The house was adorable and decorated so thoughtfully. Very nice furniture and artwork. Hot tub was very nice as was the deck and outdoor fire pit. Only two small complaints, I feel the pictures are misleading about the lake view. You can barely see it through the thick trees. Also the dishwasher was broken. They told us ahead of time but it was quite inconvenient. Overall a very nice property and experience! Would stay again!

Great communication, some appliances were broken, location was excellent, home very lovely

Lovely location. Lovely home. Peaceful/private deck out the back. We had a broken oven and dishwasher during our stay. They were broken prior to our arrival and the property manager let us know ahead of time. The property management worked with us on this very well, providing a portable dishwasher and a convection oven for our use. There was a terrible screaming coming from the intake vent on the air conditioning that kept me up all night, even with the door shut. They immediately sent maintenance and he tightened the loose screw we couldn’t reach without a ladder and fixed one of the slats on the vent. The screaming went away and we slept perfectly the next two nights and could actually sit inside. The sound was like nails on a chalkboard going constantly and I was so happy to have it fixed. The home itself had a lot of modern charm. I loved the theme of the house, all the small touches that the owner added, and would recommend this house to others to come to. Overall, 4 out of 5 for the home just due to some of the things being previously broken. The grounds had pools and so much to do. Walking distance to town, 1-1.5 mile walk, which I loved. We walked down each morning and grabbed coffee and pastry/breakfast from local cafes. The beach was ever so peaceful and there was a valet if you needed it back to the top. We came midweek, off peak season, so the little development wasn’t busy with people and often I had the beachfront to myself. The house was clean and well looked after aside with some appliance issues. But as a home owner, I do understand appliance issues and those things can’t be predicted. All rooms tidy, beds neatly made, decorated uniquely, deck had all sorts of furniture to choose from for relaxing outside, sauna worked beautifully, and the hot tub was maintained by the management company each day. I didn’t find the beds comfortable, they seemed to be a memory foam and were very soft. That’s my personal experience. I like firm beds a lot more. Hope the review helps! Keeks
