Good place in Fluvanna County

We needed to stay in the area for a few days. This was a perfect choice. Small but cozy and well equipped. The kitchen area is good for fixing a sándwich. The surroundings are beautiful.

We had a wonderful four night stay along with our 2 dogs. The suite was spotless and stocked with treats for us and our pups. There was a spacious yard and outdoor patio to enjoy and the kitchenette was just fine for our needs. We appreciated that the driveway and path to the suite were well lit and easy to navigate and we took advantage of the option to check in a bit early, which made the remainder of our stay much less rushed. We would most definitely stay again if we are in the area.

We stayed one night to help break up our drive to the beach. This was the best little find for us! Big yard for our dog to sniff, quiet, extremely clean, comfortable bed and welcoming. Kevin and Desiree were easy to communicate with and gave plenty of information about everything you’d need. If we get the chance to book again we definitely will!

Beautiful woods view with marked walking trail. Clean and comfortable. Almost handicap accessible, except for the mulch path was a little steep and slippery. But nice if you're looking for one level stay with no steps.

Cozy Retreat

This was the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. They have thought of everything. I hesitated to stay in a place that was part of someone’s home, but this was very private, beautiful setting and the owners were wonderful. Our pups loved the long windows they could look out of, the trails in the woods and the lovely walkable neighborhood. So close to lots of historic places and wineries. We will be back!

Best place in Palmyra

My family loves Deer Hideout Retreat! This was our second stay. We love how well equipped the place is, it’s super clean, and the property (with trails!) is beautiful. The hosts have put a lot of thought into their guests’ comfort and have added so many nice touches. Check in and out is easy. If you need to get away, this is the place to go!

Quiet getaway

We stayed so we were close to my daughters wedding venue. The quiet serene of the location and the daily deer encounters made our downtime between functions very relaxing. Will definitely look to book with them again in the near future to check out some local attractions!

Great for a weekend trip

Our family had a great weekend stay at the Deer Hideout. The kitchette was perfect for morning breakfast and coffee before a long day exploring the area. The owners provided a great welcome board including some excellent homemade banana bread, which made us feel like we were home.

Deer Retreat

Charlottesville Work Conference

Beautiful, peaceful, very clean and private. Went there because I had a conference for work in Charlottesville and it gave us a great chance for my husband and I to spend some alone time together. Could not have picked a better place and will definitely come back sometime in the near future.
