"Very friendly staff both at front desk and in the restaurant for breakfast. But rooms don’t have A/C and with the heat wave it was surely missed!"

"Great menu - dinner and breakfast excellent- room very clean and well equipped- would definitely recommend"

"The reception was very welcoming and helpful. The facilities were great for an old building. It was very conveniently situated and would recommend to others"

"Room was lovely and spacious. Only downside was the bed was uncomfortable , the mattress was quite hard and the pillows were way too soft to have a good sleep . Location was great to get to the farmers dog (10 mins in a taxi)"

"Excelente, lugar solitario a media hora de Oxford , si vas en auto es excelente lugar para quedarse , todo muy bonito y limpio , personal muy atento"

"The hotel was clean and well maintained but the furnishings were a bit shabby. The breakfast was well cooked but choices were limited."

"Great location although parking restricted to road"

"Todo bien, muy limpio y cómodo. El "problema " es que el Check in es algo tarde, a las 3pm, mientras el check out es muy temprano, a las 10. Cada vez reducen mas y mas los horios de estancia en el hotel "

"Staff were polite and courteous and gave us a room upgrade on arrival which was unexpected but very nice. Large room, clean with a nice big bathroom, room was nice and warm and had all the amenitrequired for a short stay. Breakfast was very good with quality ingredients, overall it was a very good stay and I would not hesitate to return."

"Extremely disappointing stay and nowhere near the standard expected for a superior room. We had booked a twin room but were initially given a double. When we were eventually moved to the twin room we had actually booked, the condition of it was unacceptable. There was hair across the bathroom, stained bedding, significant dust throughout the room and heavy dirt and buildup around the extractor fan and light fittings. The coffee machine still contained water and used pods from the previous...

"Típico pub inglés, lo mejor que tenían una botellita de agua por cada huésped en la habitación y gel y champú para todos"

"An old building and we had stayed just once before the current owners took on the hotel. The staff were friendly, excellent prices for drinks both in the restaurant and bar. The Sri Lankan food was superb, tasty and full of flavour, next time I'll as for it to be hotter. The room was clean, comfortable despite being in an old building. Bathroom spotless, lovely fluffy towels, perhaps a little smell of damp in them. We will certainly return."

"Correct"

"Fantastic stay in the cottage - immaculately presented room with loads of space and a very nice selection of snacks. The staff in the Inn were incredibly welcoming and made for a totally relaxed break. Food at dinner and breakfast was delicious. Cannot recommend highly enough"

"We selected the property due to its charming Tudor features, which are a continued theme throughout. On arrival, staff were warm and friendly and showed us to our room. Similarly at breakfast, the staff member was friendly and attentive. Excellent breakfast spread including pastries, fruits and an option for a cooked breakfast. Our room had large beams, a four poster bed, original windows and an excellent view of the high street. The bathroom however could do with some upkeep as the decor is...

"Needed a last minute stay and found an absolute gem with this place. It has just been taken over and they have made a great job of the renovation. Spotlessly clean. Really comfy bed and great shower. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Nice and quiet on a night even though it faces the main road. Two minutes walk to pubs and restaurants. Fantastic overnight stay. Would 100% recommend. Good luck to the new owners."
