We are going down there in November 2022 to work with a local company to put sound proof glassing on front two bedroom windows facing the road. Hopefully after these works are completed it will be a great sleep. We do have another property in Cessnock in a peaceful neighbourhood. This is Coal d' Vine VIEW.

Thanks Mark for review of our Aussie Chillout at Coal d' Vine Cottage - Cessnock NSW. For affordability the house is more suitable to families or group of friends. We welcome couples as well. Normally a minimum of two nights. But if there are orphan single nights then we do increase price merely so that we can pay the cleaner. We will be travelling down from the Gold Coast and staying there in November 2022. We will take stock of the Manchester and renew as necessary. We don't want clothes dryer due to electricity cost and OH&S with guests leaving on as potential fire risk if left unattended. There is back patio for drying in bad weather. Thanks Robyn for constructive review of our Aussie Chillout at Coal d' Vine Cottage - Cessnock NSW. We are currently saving up for new lounge to replace the existing one. This week we will be ordering new towels and bathmats. From our perspective the towels are thick not thin but we will get thicker and longer ones. There were tea-towels there. It is becoming standard lately in hospitality that top sheets are not provided and that quilt covers are washed after each stay. Agree that street appeal is not great but inside is very appealing. It is clearly advertised that we are on a main road. This appeals to some but not others. We have another property in Cessnock that is in quiet neighbourhood i.e. Coal d' Vine VIEW. The last month Cessnock along with SE Queensland and northern NSW has been deluged with a rain bomb making it impossible to mow lately. We apologise but the weather is out of our control. We ask that guests looking at this review in balance with other reviews both here and other locations on the internet.

We cater for large groups and families up to 10 guests. Thorough emails and SMS sent and promptly respond to any questions.

Yes we need to update photos in lounge room and outdoor entertaining area. Furnishing are actually better than indicated in photos. We advertise traffic noise on web site. If you prefer a quieter location then stay at our other property: Coal d' Vine VIEW

The Cottage has heating and cooling. The house is on a main road, so there is not much that we can do about the traffic noise. I take earplugs with me when I travel!

There is a large outdoor area at the back of the house. Where we have a BBQ, small fridge, table and couches. It is great to be able to relax in the evenings after a long day sight seeing.

The house has a fully fenced in back yard, dogs are very welcome to come on holidays with you. There is also a seperate fenced in area to the side of the house. Your pets are part of your family, so it is nice to be able to take them on holidays with you.

There is quite a large fenced in backyard, so your children can safely play outdoors. The kids can run around and burn off some energy, so hopefully they will go to bed early. Giving you time to relax.

The house has a large living/dining/kitchen area, plenty of space to spread out and spend time with family and friends.

Only 5 minute drive to Cessnock CBD for all your needs. Woolworths, Coles, ALDI and IGA plus other shops, restaurants and cafes. Pokolbin and Lovedale wineries only 10 minute drive away for Hunter Valley Gardens, Zoo and wineries.

In the bathroom there is a long spa bath. Which is great to relax in. The toilet is seperate from the bathroom, so if you are wanting to have a relaxing soak you won't be getting disturbed by your friends and family wanting to use the toilet. Which is always a bonus, it can be very annoying when you just want to relax and there is some annoying person knocking on the door!

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. The outside of house is old but the kitchen and bathroom are modern. Large backyard is great for parking off road, kids and pets. If you want a quieter location from traffic noise then our other apartment is fabulous at Coal d' Vine VIEW - Cessnock NSW. In 2019 we will be upgrading the front bedroom windows with double glazing. Come stay at our Aussie Chillout.

Coal d' Vine Cottage is on a main road, so the traffic can be noisy. It probably depends on where you live as to whether you find it too noisy. If you are from a place like Sydney and you are used to traffic noise, then it probably won't bother you too much. Otherwise you can always bring earplugs with you. I always sleep with earplugs, mostly to drown out my husbands snoring.

We always try to respond very quickly to requests or issues that you may have. David will usually answer his phone at any time of the day or night. Which I may sometimes find annoying (it is David's phone number that is down in the contact details) So whatever problems that may arise, feel free to contact us. We will do our very best to help with any problem that you may have.

We have just rolled out bed linen and towels for all future bookings. Our emails and SMS are thorough and set up automatically to send. No need for questions but we do respond within minutes if not busy to any question. No question is too simple or stupid for us to answer. We give frank answers.
