“We had an amazing stay at Fishtail Lodge in beautiful Cedar Key! This spacious stilt home with a beautiful view of the gulf was the perfect getaway for our family.The house is well-equipped and comfortable. Everything was clean and thoughtfully stocked — fresh linens, towels, and a full kitchen with all the essentials we needed for cooking. The large private dock was a highlight; we spent hours fishing, watching dolphins and birds, and enjoying stunning sunsets over the water.Location-wise, it’s on a safe, quiet private road, which made it feel secluded yet still close enough to town for quick trips to restaurants and the historic Cedar Key area. The outdoor space was ideal for relaxing with coffee in the morning.Communication with the host was excellent, and check-in was smooth. We especially appreciated the washer/dryer and two full bathrooms, which made things convenient for us.If you’re looking for a peaceful, fishing-focused, or just plain relaxing Florida Gulf Coast vacation away from the crowds, Fishtail Lodge is fantastic. We can’t wait to return! Highly recommend.”

Beautiful home, the best view, and so much space inside and outside. We enjoyed playing corn hole out back and sitting on the porch. If you like to cook, the kitchen is nice and big. This is our second time staying at this property.

Beautiful property. Wonderful hosts. Every detail was taken care of. They even had jackets in the closet for us to use in case the weather got cold! We have visited Cedar Key for the pass 25 years. There are many great places to stay in Cedar Key, but this was by far the best rental . The accommodation, the cleanliness and the host quick response, one could not ask for more of a rental place.

Beautiful! On the gulf! Great views!

Really nice place to stay. They are still recovering from hurricanes. We found a great restaurant Steamers ate there every night. No grocery store so stop ahead of time. House was clean the town rebuilding it was a very relaxing place. We will be back!

Exceptional Property

We can’t say enough good about the host or the property. The house itself is large and comfortably furnished with a very well equipped kitchen. The upstairs porch and the downstairs sitting areas were perfect for spending the afternoon with a chilled glass of wine. The dogs and I walked a total of 7-9 miles daily from the VRBO to the airport and then doing laps around the airport enjoying very light traffic and wonderful gulf breezes. My wife and I typically had a late lunch in town and then retired to the shade of the house for a short nap and a relaxing afternoon. Great neighbors and a wonderful street. N

Nice Place

A lucky find on short notice for our offshore spearfishing trip. Plenty of parking, fish cleaning station on pier, and would recommend for anyone who needs space for a boat and extra vehicles. Pet friendly is definitely a plus as well.

A Great Thanksgiving Stay!

The property was comfortable and homey. Beautiful location and views. The kitchen was amazing and had more than enough cookware that we needed to make a small thanksgiving dinner for 4. Was comfortable for my 2 kids and 2 adults. Updated linens and towels would have elevated the stay from an A to an A+.

Perfect mini Bday/Dad's Day weekend getaway

Had a great time making memories with the family for my husband's birthday and Father's Day weekend. The location is ideal. We stay on the island frequently as locals, 45 minute drive, and loved this spacious and fully equipped home. Amenities were fantastic. One small nit pick issue was the sharp edges on the bar stools, but aside from that we had everything we needed for a very memorable occasion. The porch breezes and views were awesome. Thanks for all the roomy accomodations, we will definitely book again.
