Overall the house and property were fantastic. The river is beautiful and it is a very serene environment. I was highly disappointed with the fact that there were blood stains on a cream colored chair in the main bedroom, which I took a picture of and sent immediately to the host. He apologized and said he would send someone asap to clean or remove the chair from the space. We waited for hours and no one came to remedy the situation. When I reached out after 5 hours of waiting, the host stopped responding. We had to move the chair out of the room ourselves and move another chair in (we have a 5 week old infant and needed seating for middle of the night care). The blood stained chair made me question the quality of cleanliness generally for the home, and the lack of communication on the host’s end was honestly very disappointing. If the chair issue had been resolved, I definitely would have given a higher rating.

Our family stayed here while we were in town for a family funeral. The location was perfect and being next to the river created the peacefulness we needed. The bedrooms were very comfortable and clean and the bathrooms were clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped and very nice. We will definitely come back here for future stays when we come back home.

Beautiful property with gorgeous view, comfortable beds, very clean. We stayed one night so we didn’t get to use all the amenities but enjoyed our stay. Only downside is that it was impossible to get ahold of the property manager. I tried to contact them via VRBO message, email, and phone call prior to staying and never heard back. If anything were to come up during our stay, I don’t think we would be able to reach anyone. Would have been 5 stars if we had received any response.

The interior looks exactly like the pictures and was comfortable! The exterior needed more attention. The lawn was almost a foot long when I arrived. Property manager had it mowed on my third day.Note for your trip planning: when the river water is high, there are lots of mosquitoes.

Girls Reunion

We had a wonderful stay at this at the house. We loved being in a wooded area by the river. The screened-in patio overlooking the water was the perfect place to relax with a morning coffee or evening conversation. We especially loved gathering around the fire pit, reminiscing under the stars—it created such a cozy and memorable atmosphere. This home is ideal for get-togethers, with just the right balance of comfort and nature. We would definitely return!

Diamond on the river

This is a fantastic place for a family getaway! The house is great, well appointed, and very well kept. The view overlooking the Cedar River is mesmerizing with lots of wildlife and gorgeous sunsets. Cedar Falls is about five minutes away with lots of great shops and a variety of places to eat.

Great family weekend!

We needed a weekend getaway close to UNI to gather Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa families. It was a beautiful home full of everything we needed, including garage access for our car which came in handy during a storm.

We stayed over the holidays and had a great time. The house is beautiful and the views are amazing.It's in a quiet secluded area of town but close to the main roads.Would definitely stay again.

Everything surpassed my expectations. The rooms are nice and clean. The kitchen had everything we wanted and more. The sun room overlooking the river was warm and beautiful and so relaxing to hang out in on some very cold days in late November. The host is ver responsive and pleasant to interact with.

Replenishing River Retreat 🌊🌳

Staying in this lovely space overlooking the Cedar River was one of the best VRBO experiences we have had. Meals on the deck with a gentle breeze, walks in the woods -- nature immersion with the fun of town just a step away. Tony couldn't have been kinder and the space has the most thoughtful guide for guests! We left replenished and renewed - *highly recommend.

Beautiful spot

Such a pretty spot on a beautiful river. Enjoyed the house too. Really nice place to enjoy with friends with a beautiful porch that overlooks the river, nice kitchen, comfortable beds. Hope to go back someday!

Gift Stay

Gave this stay to my parents as a gift. They said they loved sitting in the sunroom watching the river, and the layout of the house was unique and interesting. Hosts were very communicative. Only downside was how expensive it was. Unfortunately I didn't realize the fees were not all showing at first, but I think that may have been my fault. So glad a riverside spot was available, my dad loves rivers and they met in Cedar Falls, so it worked out nicely.

Great Memory Maker

This home pretty much met all of our needs and was stocked with great supplies. Very spacious and incredible view of the Cedar River, which was serene and enchanting. It was nice to know the owners were nearby and very responsive. We will be frequent returnees as we have family there locally. We were very pleased overall with our stay and the lovelh accomodations.

Quick Tournament Trip

Our son was competing in a wrestling tournament for the weekend so we made a quick trip to Cedar Falls and would never stay anywhere else! The property was clean and the owners were very quick in responding to any questions we had.

Stayed for a wedding

My daughter got married this weekend in Waverly at The Hidden Acre. We live 2 hours away and didn’t want to stay in a hotel, so found this gem of a place instead. It was perfect! My husband and I and our 3 other kids, plus my best friend from out of town all were very comfortable in this house. The view was beautiful in the mornings and we loved the quiet in the nights. The host was so easy to communicate with. We felt very welcome! We hope to be able to return during a time when we don’t have so much planned so we can enjoy the house more!

Cedar Falls River Front Get Away 2023

This property is one of the finest we have visited over the years. Super clean, beautifully upgraded, and nicely located overlooking the very pretty Cedar River. Quiet. The kitchen and sun room overlooking the river were superb. Thoroughly enjoyed this relaxing get-away. Very good value for the price.

Perfect spot for a family visit

We were thrilled with our stay for so many reasons. The property was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Loved the charging stations and internet enabled TVs. Could not have been happier with the beautiful views and easy access to trails. Also super easy to drive to adorable Main Street for coffee and treats.
