Good for a short family/friend getawayThe home is nicely decorated and set up well for a large group. It is cost effective and relatively close to Cashiers and Within 30 minutes to Highlands. Trillium is a very nice community. The Club dining room has beautiful Mountain View’s and food is good. The golf course is in very nice condition and isn’t very crowded. We booked this property for a month so we got to experience everything about the location and the club. For a longer stay it didn’t fit our needs. The biggest issue was that there was only one dining venue when both the vrbo listing and the owners manual said there were 2. We were looking forward to the lakefront dining and activities. When we got there we were told the lake club burned down 4 years ago and was scheduled to be opened until summer of 2026. The Trillium website also had the lakeside activities on its site and said nothing about the closure. Because the community is so spread out, the Club activities are spread around. The gym and pickle ball /indoor tennis courts are 3 miles from the house and takes 10 minutes to drive to. The pool area is close to the Clubhouse with outdoor showers no real changing area. We paid for a monthly Club membership. Usually with a membership you get reduced rates. Golf cost 190pp. The house does need some maintenance, one oven gave off a gassy smell, dehumidifier overflowing, dirty grill, door tracks need care. New manager was responsive to our issues.
