Great Stay

We had a great 10 week stay at Casa do Farol, Nuno and Joao were very good hosts and Dina and husband (next door house carer's) were brilliant. I think this maybe my second review on VRBO regarding CdoF so forgive me but VRBO seems to have a demand for review in lots of their diffenrent language sites.

Der Aufenthalt im Casa do Farol war wunderbar! Das Haus entsprach genau der Beschreibung und bietet genügend Platz innen und außen. Die Ausstattung umfasst alles, was man braucht, auch das Kochen für zehn Personen ist problemlos möglich. Die Lage ist ruhig, und in fußläufiger Entfernung gibt es Restaurants, einen kleinen Supermarkt und ein Café. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr nett, aufkommende Fragen wurden schnell und sehr freundlich beantwortet.Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Amazing Villa, Great location !

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa do Farol. We really appreciated being welcomed by the owners by phone (not only by email) and communication was great. They even suggested us various activities and restaurants. The Casa offers a lot of privacy and is at walking distance from services such restaurants and a mercado. We highly recommand.

Wir waren eine familiäre Gruppe von 11-56 jährigen und haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Mein persönlicher Herzensort war der Rand vom Pool . Mein Mann ist Portugiese und wir haben auch an der Algarve bereits viele Orte bereist! Carvoeiro ist bei den Briten sehr beliebt. Wir haben wunderschöne Wanderungen an der Küste entlang unternommen.das Haus ist bestens ausgestattet. Great spot to visit the beaches and restaurants

Nice villa with easy access to everything. Short drive to Carvoeiro if you need a little more pace. A few fantastic beaches are within range. We visited in Oct. and there were a lot of flies in and around the home but the home and pool were in great shape. The host is accessible and responds quickly. A very pleasant stay.

Perfect family villa

We travelled to visit family that lives up the road from the villa so it was perfect location for us. Beach was in walking distance as was our favourite restaurant pashmina. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Unexpected welcome package on arrival. - thoroughly enjoyed thank you! Housekeeper visited during our stay. Pool was also cleaned during our stay which was nice. Excellent communication from host who was contactable at any time during our stay. Would recommend getting a hire car to go to the supermarket (Auchan was our supermarket of choice) rather than the convenience store in rocha brava as they are quite expensive. Pool was perfect for adults and kids. Beautiful view of lighthouse from the villa. Pool and bath towels were provided. Extra bedding and blankets were available. Villa was very homely we would definitely book again when we next visit.

Maison super, propre, 5 grandes chambres avec une belle literie, plein de salle de bain, bbq, bcp d ustensiles de cuisine. Maison portugaise typique. Super piscine pour les grands et les petits. Happy Farol

The villa is beautiful situated , everything you need is in the house . Modern kitchen machines like dishwasher , washmachine etc.The area with the swimmingpool is very nice , saltwater and clean . The BBQ was perfect , you only need to by the charcoal . There was also a second big refrigerator , very handy to cool the drinks when you are with a big group of people . The contact with the host was very good , he was very helpfull , also the neighbours next door , who take care of the villa . We had a wonderful time , the area is beautiful and quiet , lovely to talk long walks around the cliffs and rocks . whe certainly recommand this place and the host .

Delightful stay in a spacious and comfortable villa

We had a lovely week at Casa do Farol during June. The villa itself was very comfortable for our party of five, and the pool - while not huge - was particularly welcome during the very hot weather. The villa was clean and generally well-equipped and furnished, although some of the decor could do with a refresh before too long. Plenty of towels were provided (thank you!), and the beds were very comfortable. The area around the villa was quiet and not as "touristy" as some parts of the Algarve we visited during our stay. There is a nearby lighthouse which does shine its light at night, and this does illuminate the rooms at the front of the house (we didn't find it a problem though). There are a number of local restaurants in easy walking distance. The only downside here was a general shortage of vegetarian choices (except for the Indian restaurant, which was fine). But expect no problems if you eat meat and fish. Top tip: according to the map, Praia do Carvalho is the nearest beach, but it's accessed by a flight of quite steep steps. Praia do Vale de Centeanes is bigger, better equipped, easier to access and only slightly further.

Urlaub mit Großfamilie

Die Lage ist Perfekt, dass Haus ist allerdings sehr Hellhörig! Wir (3 Familien mit insg. 4 Kindern) haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen! Zum Strand, zu den Klippen und Einkaufen, Restaurant alles zu Fuß erreichbar! Die Haushälterin ist Freundlich aber mit der Endreinigung etwas zu Flott! Bis 11 Uhr ist auschecken sie war schon ab 10 Uhr da und putzte um uns rum!

Wonderful villa

The property was everything and more. A beautiful villa that was maintained in excellent condition. Comfortable beds, close to several restaurants. the host touched base on several occasions to ensure everything was to our liking. They also provided a small welcome basket including a bottle of wine. We would definitely stay here again.

wie auf den bildern auch gut zu sehen, ist das haus eine gelungene mischung aus altem und neuem. wir mögen genau diese gegend und baustil. die wichtigen dinge wie pool, klima, bäder ist alles auf aktuellen stand. der vermieter ist jederzeit über handy erreichbar, super freundlich und hilfsbereit. wir kommen wieder.

A beautiful villa

We had such a wonderful time staying in Casa do Farol. It’s a beautiful villa with restaurants and beaches nearby. Dina and her husband care for the property on behalf of the owners and live next door. They are a lovely couple and there if you need them. Nuno and Joao , the owners have been lovely to deal with.
