"We really enjoyed our stay. The check in with Isobel was very smooth and easy. The cottage is actually bigger than the front view suggests, as it has been extended at the rear. "We loved the two outdoor spaces as it gave us room to entertain our family who live on Arran. We had fabulous weather so it was lovely to be able to sit in the sun or shade as preferred. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds comfortable. Ian was very helpful. The location is amazing- walking distance to everything."

"The cottage is cosy, clean and very inviting. Shiskine is a wonderful place to stay, quiet and very appealing. It's very close to Blackwaterfoot, which is beautiful. The Kinloch Hotel does marvellous meals (takeaways too). What really makes the stay worthwhile is the landlady, Jan. Last year, when we couldn't get off the island due to ferry problems, Jan put us up for an extra with no charge. "We loved our stay at the Wee Silverburn! It was the perfect size for our family of 4. Decorated so nicely, very comfortable and relaxing. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking and baking wares and cleaning supplies. The babbling brook just beyond the lush garden plantings completed the lovely setting. The location is wonderful, an easy walk down the beach and other offerings at Whiting Bay. The bus stop is right there too if you want to pop to a pub or two in Lamlash for dinner and drinks....

"Lovely property. Very suitable for a family holiday. Everything you need is there and a lot of little extras which just make it perfect. Would not hesitate to recommend it. Ruth was a lovely host and even left a welcome gift of cheese and oatcakes which was very thoughtful."
