The Space:

Cardwell by the Sea by Tiny Away is a tiny house set within Kookaburra Holiday Park. The holiday park is just a 40-minute drive from the rural town of Ingham. Just by the Cassowary Coast, the tiny home is close to many beautiful islands and the natural, coastal wonders Queensland has to offer. This includes Wallaman Falls, Paronella Park, Hinchinbrook Island, the striking blue Cardwell Spa Pools, and Mission Beach.



It's a cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes.

The Neighborhood:

Cardwell by the Sea by Tiny Away is located on the lush southern tip of Tropical North Queensland’s Cassowary Coast. Cardwell is full of outdoor adventures and is just a 40-minute drive from Ingham and an hour from Mission Beach.



Situated between golden beaches to the east and the ancient rainforests of the Wet Tropics to the west, Cardwell offers endless things to see and do.



Nearby attractions include Cardwell Spa Pools, a natural creek with bright blue waters that flows seasonally. Mission Beach is a beautiful tropical spot, and Hinchinbrook Island has rainforest and mangroves to explore. Paronella Park sits by Mena Creek Falls and is surrounded by thousands of tropical plants. Wallaman Falls is Australia’s tallest single-drop waterfall, located in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area.



Getting Around:

By car:



- 2.5 hours from Cairns and 2 hours from Townsville.

- 1 hours drive from Mission Beach

- 40 minutes from Ingham

- Reachable by both 2WD and 4WD.

- Wifi is available

- Gas BBQ Grill is available

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed

- Please note that pet policies will be sent prior to arrival

- Smoking is allowed on designated areas on the property

- Mobile signal is good for Telstra and Optus; The rest are weak

- Please expect limited connectivity as the tiny house is set in a rural locality

- Make sure to turn off the lights, AC, electronics, close windows, and lock doors when leaving

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

- Pets are allowed by 24 hrs prior notice, and must be on leash at all times. The full policy will be sent before arrival.



Important note:



- Outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife like saltwater crocs live off the coast

- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
