I need to note that this review is based on the room received when we paid for an upgrade, and the customer service received from reservations manager on return and providing our feedback.
We booked and paid for an upgraded suite, for a very special occasion. Only to discover when we got to the room that our room had a huge impractical staircase to get to the toilet, and what appeared no wardobe. I telephoned down to reception on arriving to the room and said that we were taken back by the room and the fact it had no where to put your clothes. The very polite receptionist stipulated that the wardobe was up the staircase, in the bathroom, behind the door. Needless to say our stay our stay was not rexlaxing due to the steep staircase and the impracticalities of having a bathroom on a different floor.
I wrote feedback on my return about the room to the reservations manager, and felt that these were dismissed. I felt that by the reply they did not take our experience of staying in that room onboard. I hope someone more senior is able to look at the feedback provided, and take action, as the reply to date has made us feel underwhelmed and not appreciated.
I must say the food in both the resteraunt and breakfast were lovely. However i need to add that these were both additional costs which i did not mind paying for. Therefor in my eyes, they are experiences on their own and cannot be judged on the review for the hotel room.
