Family stay

We traveled to the west coast for the first time as a family for my daughter’s soccer tournament and really enjoyed our stay at this property. The property was very impressive. Very clean, comfortable, well located and the host instructions for check in and out were seamless. Would definitely return to this property if we return to the San Diego area.

Great visit

The home was in good condition and the furniture nice. It could use a good deep cleaning - cobwebs on the ceilings etc but otherwise it was decent. The house is big, probably too big for us two but we enjoyed the view a lot and the patios. Would definitely stay again!

Good fit for us

My wife and I were traveling with our adult children and their 7 and 9 year old kids. The property’s description was accurate. Killer view! The master suite with the den and sofa bed worked well for us. The master was upstairs and occupied by our “kids.” The ground level bedroom and bathroom were comfortable for my wife and me. The kitchen was very clean but the layout was pretty tight. I liked the large round dining table which could fit 6. There needed to be more than four dining chairs. Folding chairs would have been fine. All appliances worked! We would stay here again.

Overall a nice stay and great location. About the house: - master bathroom toilet runs if the handle isn’t in the right position. Needs to be fixed. - too much detergent used on sheets and towels. You can smell it on both. Recommend using fragrance free and less chemicals. I usually break out in a rash from heavy detergents. - lightbulbs out in kitchen. Thanks

Amazing stay in Cardiff by the Sea

From the moment we walked in, we knew we had picked the perfect accommodations. A breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean awaits from both the main and upper levels. The place exceeded our expectations and was Uber clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Great view, old and beat up

View is great and it is clean and managed. Could use some new furniture and sheets and is just beat up overall. For that price point, you would expect nicer overall. I know the area and rentals well in Cardiff.

Returning "Home"

We recently moved from Encinitas CA to Lexington KY. and we knew we would be back for Christmas and wanted to stay in Cardiff. From the minute we opened the front door this home is AMAZING. The View - out of this world. The location is perfect, super easy walking distance to stores, restaurants, beach, rail trail. Kitchen was well supplied with whatever you might need. High end appliances. 2 decks with ample seating. Couldn't ask for more. We will definitely stay here again.

Solid Listing

There were 6 of us for a Family Vacation ranging from toddler to grandparents. View is fantastic and location is great. Close to market and restaurants for great food options. Location is perfect for small drives to amenities. Only downside is property is in need of some updating, but would still recommend.

Spacious with stunning views

The pictures don’t quite do the setting justice. Both the main level and Master Suite balconies have floor to ceiling windows/doors. This unit was spacious for a family of four adults with plenty of room to spread out. The location is a short walk to the beach, groceries and restaurants. We hope to return to this same unit again!

Stunning Ocean Views in home with updated costal modern decor

We just spent a week at this amazing home over the 4th of July holiday. It was the perfect spot for me, my husband and 2 teen daughters. The views are stunning - the pictures online don't capture how expansive and unobstructed the ocean views are from both inside and outside on the bottom and top decks. As a frequent summer renter in the area - it is rare to have such wide of an open direct ocean view unless directly on the water (which a limited stock and a whole different price point). Cardiff is nestled right between Solana Beach and Encinitas - two of our favorite spots. While you could walk to the beach - that would have been a bit of a haul with all our gear. Our teens insist on Moonlight beach anyway for the young action - it was an easy 5 min drive and the home had 4 beach chairs and 2 boogie boards for beach fun. The decor is well done modern coastal and the master bedroom is huge with a very comfortable bed. There "could" be a 3rd bedroom, but it is really just a pull out couch in the open den right off the master bedroom (this was clearly advertised - so we were not surprised - our two teens shared the room on the first floor with their own bath). The home is a duplex townhome, so there are neighbors right next door - but there was no residual noise (just general outside neighborhood noise typical of the densely packed SoCal area). The decks on top and bottom do directly border the neighbor and could probably benefit from some plantings to provide a bit of screening privacy, but the lovely owners next door were never out on their patio with the exception of the 4th of July fireworks - so we were not bothered by this and when we did meet them, they were delightful. Finally - for my AZ friends, this home has AC which is not common in ocean view homes that have coastal breezes. But us Zonies do love to sleep with AC - although I will say since the home is set up on the hill, you are far from the coaster train and have zero train noise (and there is no horn stops in Cardiff like the stops in Encinitas and Leucadia) and could keep windows open all night. Property is managed by a local property management company who provided great information in advance of our arrival, was responsive to questions when we arrived and open to post stay feedback that we provided (no issues - just items to take a future stay from great to extraordinary). We plan to come back here next summer!
