A 25-minute drive away is the medieval city of Carcassonne, which is surrounded by two defensive walls and dominated by fifty-two towers and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can discover the city by horse-drawn carriage or small train. Try the famous cassoulet, accompanied by an excellent local wine. We also recommend a trip to the Canal du Midi, which connects Toulouse with Sète through famous vineyards and picturesque villages.
