Just what we needed!!!

Looked for an affordable property (close to Aspen) just ahead of Colorado’s first snows. Rustic private cabin was just what we needed - cozy and clean. Host and Hostess were perfect. They were available but never intrusive. Let us come and go as we chose. Helped us with directions, eateries and wildlife reports.

Good place to stay

Nice cozy little cabin. Perfect for what we needed. We were in town for a wedding and didn’t want to stay in downtown Carbondale. The owners are very nice and accommodating. I would stay here again.

The Dollhouse

As advertised it is a small place but as long as you only plan to microwave food or not, it is perfectly adequate for a stay. It is very peaceful and the hosts are wonderful. The bed was great and I would stay there again.

Fun In Carbondale

We arrived after dark but after talking with our hosts and using our GPS we were able to find the place in the dark. Surprised by very helpful motion detection lights to find out way to our adorable accommodations! Hosts were great when we met them!

Perfection in a winter wonderland

I LOVED this cozy little place to call my own for one week! Everything was comfortable, easy to access and clean. I highly recommend a vehicle with 4WD for the snowy season. I also recommend unlacing your boots at the top for bathroom runs (makes them easy to get on and off) I was a solo female traveler for this trip and I felt safe here. Grocery stores, shops and restaurants are all just a quick 15 min drive away. Heading into aspen is about 50+ minutes as is snowmass. I didn’t mind the drive because it was so comfortable to come Home to peace and quiet. I had everything I needed and Alexandra and Anthony are so lovely as hosts. They made sure my walk-ways were clear and easy to access with record snow fall! Traveling to aspen to ski or see the sites, this was perfect for me.

Perfect location for playing in the Glenwood Springs, Carbondale, Snomass, Aspen corridor!

Great location, super quiet. Less than 10 minutes to Carbondale. Great hosts, very private accommodations. Park in driveway, walk 100 feet, and you’re basically at a cabin in the woods.

Perfectly placed!

The name of the property is "Doll House" and it is exactly that. Anthony and Alex are lovely people that greeted us with open arms and made themselves available whenever needed. They also gave us complete privacy. The dollhouse was perfect for a couple that was on a long weekend of adventure. It's 30 minutes outside of the hustle and bustle of Glenwood Springs and minutes from the lovely town of Carbondale. Quiet, peaceful, and minutes from fantastic hikes and the wonderful Penny Hot Springs (what a find)! Great restaurants and perfectly located near everything we could have asked for. Sitting just outside the front door is the most spectacular star gazing I have seen in years, especially being from a larger city. We enjoyed this cozy, quaint little cottage and loved how it was decorated. I would stay here again in a minute and want to thank Anthony and Alex for their hospitality! This place is truly worth staying at.

Nice & Quite Rural Studio

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this rural small studio. The studio was clean; and, nice and quiet. The location of the studio makes for a great basecamp to explore the Roaring Fork valley. The owners, Anthony and Alexandra, made me feel welcomed and were available if I needed anything.

Quiet and cozy

The Dollhouse was perfect for a quiet get away and close to all areas that we needed to be. We stayed for a wedding in Marble, so we got to enjoy the beautiful drive up the canyon. We were also close enough to Carbondale (but not too close) to be able to go out dinner and then get out of town. My only suggestion is to make sure you get there during daylight for check in, as it is more difficult to find at night...but this was all my doing. All and all, this was a great spot and perfect for some quiet time alone.

Cute place

We had a nice time, no real complaints! The listing did say there would be Netflix which there wasn’t. Not a big deal as we weren’t there to watch TV, but that might be disappointing to some. We also thought the pictures were a bit misleading, as they make it seem like the Dollhouse is a bit more secluded from the hosts’ house. It’s not—you are in their backyard, so it’s not as private as we expected for our romantic getaway. All that said, the hosts were very friendly, helpful, and responsive, and they were sure to give us as much privacy as possible, which we appreciated. Some reviews mention a “hike” or a “trek” from the car to the Dollhouse. It’s basically as if you were walking from someone’s driveway to their backyard. I don’t think it qualifies as a trek! The road leading up to the property appears to be very well maintained and we had no issues getting our car in and out. Overall, five stars.

Loved our stay at the Doll House

My wife and I had an enjoyable experience staying in the Doll House. It was off the beaten path and away from people so that we could enjoy our stay in solitude. Having access to the grounds to stay outside and sit by the stream or watch the sunset were great highlights. Given the small size of the Doll House, there are natural things that will come into play when staying in tight living quarters, like access to only one side of the bed for two people and having to go outside to get to the bathroom...but once we figured out how to navigate our space, we were more than fine. The owners are great people and we enjoyed, Delta, their dog. If you are looking for a cozy getaway at a very reasonable price, I'd highly recommend this property.

So adorable!

This was the perfect Mtn getaway! Location is close enough to Carbondale and Aspen for restaurants and site seeing, but far enough out to feel away secluded and in nature. Hosts are great; house is clean and comfortable. I didn’t realize the bathroom was attached, but required a few steps around the corner outside. It wasn’t a problem, just a surprise. Would definitely recommend!

Cozy and cute if that is your preference.

A unique experience. The hosts were very helpful and good to work with. Had to walk quite a ways, including up a hill to get to the cabin. A little inconvenient to have to walk outside to get to the bathroom. Overall a good experience.
