  • Nestled in the rolling hills of the Shawnee National Forest behind the vineyard of Southern Illinois' oldest and most award-winning winery, Betty's Vineyard House is a private, 2 bedroom, 2 full bath home with all the amenities you'll need!

    -Take a short stroll through the vineyard to Alto Vineyards winery or down the road to downtown Alto Pass, IL.
    -Soak in views of the grape vines while relaxing in rocking chairs on the covered front porch, or gather around the dining table or fire pit on the large back deck facing the natural beauty of the forest.
    -This tastefully decorated home includes a fully-equipped kitchen and sleeps at least 6 comfortably with a queen bed in each bedroom and a sofa sleeper in the living room.
    -Come stay while celebrating events at Alto Vineyards, spending time in the state and national parks with family, or getting together and enjoying the wine trail with friends!

Everything was amazing! My husband and friends spent the weekend here for the Dirty South and it was perfect. Great location just steps from the winery! We are already thinking of our next trip back.

We loved our stay at this home! Everything was very clean and thoughtfully arranged for comfort. The beds and pillows were perfect! The kitchen/great room is so nice-lots of natural light. The host was so very friendly and accommodating. We will return to this house in the future!

100% Recommend. Bettys is warm, cozy, spacious, and clean. Tastefully decorated. The sofas and beds are comfortable. We especially appreciated the pack-n-play and outlet covers for our kiddos. Host was helpful, kind and available if we needed anything. Perfect location also. Looking forward to staying there again!

Absolutely wonderful stay, clean and convenient! Our pups loved the secluded, large yard. Beautiful location and the hosts are very responsive! Amazing hiking very nearby too. We had a great time, will definitely be returning!!

Wine, Beer and Bourbon Trail with best of friends!

This VRBO is in the best location ever. During our 2 day / 2 night stay we visited 9 wineries, while spending evenings at Havisham Bourbon Bar!For all Wineries located on the “Highway 127 Corridor” this is the best place ever!

Peaceful Getaway

This home is beautiful, clean and very well appointed. We loved that it’s right next door to a winery! It’s a great location, close to lots of good hiking trails and very quiet. We’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic location!

This home was the cleanest VRBO that I have ever stayed at! It had everything you need and more. The home is comfortable and a very short walk to the Alto Vineyard tasting room. We really had a wonderful stay. Thank you!

great location for exploring the Shawnee Forest area

Cozy property, but more than capable to support a family of 4 and our dog as we made it our 'basecamp' between local state park hikes. Very clean and well laid out with full kitchen amenities, and an awesome little winery and tasting room literally next door...which we sat outside and played bocce with the dog including.

2024 Solar Eclipse Totality

This was an amazing venue. Beth is an outstanding hostess. The winery next door had a live band and enjoyed the atmosphere and people would definitely stay again.

Great Location

Betty”s Vineyard House was very comfortable and just the right size for our group of two couples. It was well-stocked, and everything was in good working order. It was a great location for exploring the parks in the area.

Weekend Trip

This property was amazing! It’s located near several local wineries and state parks. The home itself it’s very clean perfectly organized. Beth was a top notch host offering very helpful information about the area and was extremely quick to respond. Check in was a breeze using the keypad lock.

This was our second stay here. Comfortable cottage with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and we appreciated the tea selections! Photos online were accurate. We would stay again!

Great stay

The property manager was awesome. We were very pleased with the property. The pictures are very accurate and the house has equipped with anything you needed. We enjoyed the short walk to Alto Vineyard and fishing in the pond behind the Vineyard. We will definitely stay here again.
