This was a great venue for 9 of us - plenty of room. Easy walk to the Main Street. Train nearby not an issue for us and in fact provided some entertainment for the kids. The unit is showing some minor wear and tear but nothing that distracted from our stay.

The proximity to amenities and the ski hill was perfect location for our Christmas in the Rockies with our small family. Raj and his staff worked with me to fix minor issues when we checked in. We look forward to another visit soon.

This unit is great for large groups. We had 10 people and comfortably fit in the unit. 4 bathrooms is a big plus. Kitchen is well stocked and you get 2 areas next to each other. We were concerned regarding train noise, but the unit is well insulated. Parking was easy and downtown is just a short walk away.The only items for us that were a bit disappointing is that unit is a bit dated. Some beds had old mattresses that were way too soft and offered no support. One of the bathrooms has a trickle of water in the sink though the shower is just fine.

Great getaway

First time in Canmore and our group loved it. Easy access to restaurants and shopping. Parking is a little crazy at times because it's shared with local businesses, but other than that, great spot!

Carefree in Canmore

The fact that each couple had their own room and own bathroom with shower is what drew us to this place and it didn’t disappoint. Great location, great amenities. Would stay here again!

Not as advertised

Considering the high cost of renting this property, it was very run down. The condos are owned by a rental company, not an "owner" who actually cares about the property, like you'd expect from VRBO (vacation rental by owner), and it shows. The units did not match the pictures. The furniture was filthy, damaged and falling apart. Instead of the couches pictured, one unit had only half of a corner sectional couch. There was a used bandaid stuck on the bed frame by our heads. The rental company is trying to cut too many corners and charge way too much for this. We were staying here the night before our wedding and hoping to get nice "getting ready" photos so it was pretty disappointing, especially considering how crazy expensive it was.There is no reserved parking for the unit and there are retail spaces below so sometimes we had to park elsewhere. Trains were very noisey but we expected that based on other reviews. You're better off to stay in a hotel.

1.) Queen mattress in one room is finished: it sags badly in the middle, and its innards are exposed one side (visible if you lift the sheeting). 2.) The mattress covering sheet on the same bed was threadbare and had off-colour staining. 3.) The lock on the entrance door jammed badly, and I had to labour to lock it properly. I barely managed. 4.) There were footprints on the floors when we arrived - the kind wet feet might have caused. 5.) The two kitchen faucets run VERY SLOWLY, which is frustrating.

Greatly managed nice property

We had a small Christmas family reunion at Canmore. The property is clean, well-stocked, and centrally located. We have had a few small issues during our stay, but management was prompt to resolve it. Thanks!

3 night family getaway

I’ll start with the negatives. The advertising for the property lists it as a 5 bedroom, when there are actually 4 bedrooms. I did point this out to the property management team. But no changes have been made so far. It also states that the condo is 1.5km from the nearest ski lift. That is simply not the case. You have to climb a flight of 20 stairs to access the main floor. That makes it a bit challenging to unpack. And we had a 92 year old with us. The condo is located 50 metres away from the train tracks. There were at least a dozen trains a day. You could hear and feel each one. All 4 bedrooms were at the front of the condo, and the train tracks were at the back. I was never awoken because of the trains.Now, the positives. The "adjoining double condo" concept was fantastic. We had more than enough of room for the 11 of us. 2 full kitchens, living rooms and dining rooms were perfect. We never ate out. We cooked all our meals at the condo, and we all sat very comfortably around the dinning room table. Everyone enjoyed their bedrooms. We had plenty of space for everyone to sit and do their own thing if, and when they wished. A very short walk to grocery, and liquor stores. As well as the Royal Bank.The condos are located above a strip mall, but that really didn't matter. Except for the passing trains, we enjoyed very quiet nights. I would recommend Summit house, regardless of the negatives. It is great for a large group. You will never feel "closed in".

Banff 2024

Summit Place was great for our family vacation. The location was spot on and so convenient to most everything in Canmore and a short drive to Banff. The office staff was awesome! They provided us with park passes and bear spray which saved us some money. We highly recommend if you're heading to Canmore/Banff area.

Autumn Vacation

The train is the most annoying when staying at this place!!! The train runs about every 2-3 hours, all day long. My brother and my husband slept in the living rooms. They counted the train ran across 3-4 times from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am every night. This was the most disturbing loud noise. I cannot even hear my conversation or TV every time the train runs across for 4-6 minutes, during the daytime. The view from the window in livingrooms and kitchen are very nice but the train noise washed away the view.

Great Canmore location

Our 2 family group made good use of the dual condo space with 2 kitchens, 2 living areas, and 2 laundry centers. The location was easily walkable to groceries and town center and convenient to highway for excursions to other areas. Be aware the place is located in a busy strip mall setting but we got used to that. Not really private but back porch views were amazing if you look past the alleyway. The kitchen pans and laundry facilities could use some upgrades but overall a comfortable convenient place to stay in Canmore

Good Location, Perfect for Families

Nice double unit, perfect for families and privacy. There are lots of stairs to get in/out of the unit. Plenty of dishes and utensils are in the units; however not a lot of serving dishes. The crock pots (3 total in the combined units) all are missing a part, so none were usable. There is a nice, large table and plenty of chairs for family dinners. An extra trash can for recycling is needed in each unit.

Very nice digs in Canmore

We loved the setup, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and two kitchens! Worked out great for our group of 9 adults. Walking distance from grocery and dining.

Great location!

The penthouse was able to fit our large group of friends. They offered everything you would need - even a waffle maker! Walking distance to Safeway and amazing restaurants. Easy access to highway (20 mins from Banff). Would highly recommend!
